"Einmalige Natur rundherum. Ein uriges Haus mit Charakter in einem abgelegenen Naturschutzgebiet am Seitenarm von Sognofjord. Hinter dem Haus - ein Zauberwald mit Eierschwammerln und Blaubeeren. Ein schöner Wanderweg führt auf den Blaubeerberg in der Nähe. Die Anreise ist nur mit dem kleinen Boot möglich und dauert eine knappe Stunde von Vik. Die Wellen am Fjord können spürbar sein, daher Wetter Bedingungen eruieren. "

Was originally supposed to be just me but I ended up making some friends at the hostel I stayed at in Oslo so they tagged along on the drive with me. "A nice old house with enough space for us to stay. The house is old, but has everything you need to stay (although the washing machine is old, small and has low spinning so it takes some time to dry) and the wifi is poor. Lot's of opportunities for hiking in the area, and also to go with the ferry to the other side. The house is in Ortnevik (we thought it was in Bjordal) at the end of a road. Joar is a very friendly and helpfull guy, and is easy to reach. We recommend this house for a stay."

"Wow, Norway is amazing and beautiful — it exceeded even our already lofty expectations. And this VRBO was an excellent choice for the heart of our stay. Its picturesque location was also perfectly situated in the center of many possible day excursions. Coming from the USA, it was a long journey getting here. "Five stars is not enough for the stone cabin in Ortnevik! The one bedroom cabin is so charming. The kitchen has everything you will need to prepare meals and the bed is comfortable.
