"This hotel really did represent value for money on a weekend where the city was busy due to a famous comedian performing. The hotel is central and only a five minute walk from the train station. Staff helpful, communal spaces lovely for a drink in the evening. "AVOID! On arrival we got our keys from the keylock which was a simple process. When entering the apartment it completely stunk of cigs and w - as if people had been in there for days smoking. Even aside from the foul smell the place is very run down, lots of marks and stains on the walls etc. The glass hob surface had a large chip/crack on it which you could easily cut yourself of. "I must admit I was slightly wary of staying here after reading all the complaints about noise, but as it turned out, I had nothing to worry about! The hotel and surroundings were quiet - even during an England match! I suspect it depends on whether the students in neighbouring accommodation blocks are around, so perhaps factor that into your decision. But for relatively cheap accommodation, with breakfast included, you can't go far wrong with the Jonas!"

"Such a weird place. The bathroom must of had 6 bars in it. One of which was just under the shower head, meaning your body was either against the cold metal bar or the curtain stuck to you. There was a sign in the room stating that you needed to close the bathroom door while showering or you would set off the fire alarm with steam. Glad this was a one night experience."
