Relaxing retreat

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The setting was lovely and peaceful as well as close to Fallingwater and Ohiopyle. The hosts were great and even brought us fresh eggs one morning from their chickens. Facilities were clean, comfortable, and well outfitted. Look forward to going back again in the future.

Perfect for our needs & Gloria is a great host

We (four friends having a reunion weekend with each other) were looking for a place to stay in southwestern Pennsylvania and this worked great for us. We were a little confused about the pool not being right at the house we were staying at (it was a bit down the hill where the owner lives) but they were very nice and friendly and it was not a problem to go down there to use the pool the two times we did. The water was 85 degrees, very clean, and they had lots of floaties we could use. She also has beach towels for us. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed to prepare a couple of meals there and make coffee in the morning. (We brought our own food of course.) Bedrooms were comfy. It was nice to have two full bathrooms to use. The porch on the house is great! There is a nice view and plenty of comfy seating for sitting and chatting. The property is really quiet and safe and peaceful. Gloria thoughtfully had lots of info in a binder of local activities and was ready to assist us in any way we needed. Thank you, Gloria!

Great getaway

My family and I very much enjoyed our stay at this cute little farm house. We loved sitting on the porch in the morning, playing on the swing in the afternoon and we all adored the owner’s super cute and friendly dogs. The views are fantastic and it’s just a short drive to hiking and Falling Water. The owners were very kind and welcoming and made sure we were comfortable. Lastly, the decor is more vintage farmhouse and we found it very charming and in line with the style of house. Everything was clean and in working condition- we would definitely stay here again!

Great stay at the farm

My family and I enjoyed out quick little trip out at the farm to see the Frank Llyod Wright houses. The house is charming and very clean. We especially enjoyed the aussies that lived down the road and would come to say hi everyday and walking around the farm.

Visit to Fallingwater

Perfectly located about 10 minutes from Fallingwater. Nice comfy house in a quiet farm environment with a beautiful hilltop view (especially in autumn). We had a very nice stay. 😊

The most relaxing Sibling weekend

The Home, the property, the VIEWS were right on point in the description of this vacation property. 4 Siblings + 2 spouses (ages above 50) had the most enjoyable time together. Cooking, catching up, and just relaxing by the campfire, the Spectacular wrap around porch, and covered picnic tables. Let's not forget the fishing!! We ventured out to take a tour of the Fallingwater home. The owners stopped by to see if everything was ok and we invited them to stay and have a drink with us. So enjoyable. We had so many questions of the area and their beautiful property history. A must see. Thank you, Gloria and Ed.

Relaxing with dear friends

This house was exactly what we needed. Quiet, comfortable, clean, close to Falling Water, and well stocked with everything we needed. We were three women, friends for 30 years who now live far from each other. The location was a perfect meet-in-the-middle place for us who now live in NY, NJ and Ohio. We had a wonderful time sitting on the porch for hours taking in the beautiful view and chatting away! Gloria was a lovely host.

Quiet, cozy, perfect!

Our group of 6 young women loved this house. It is big enough to spread out and cozy enough for lots of quality time. The farm is quiet and safe and beautiful. (Sunsets over the valley are so lovely!!) Ed and Gloria are very friendly and helpful. And the house was a very easy short drive to Ohiopyle, so great location. Seriously would recommend!!

Peaceful

We really enjoyed hanging out at the house, spending time together and just resting and relaxing on our vacation. The house was clean and well equipped. The host was absolutely wonderful, very kind and gracious. We would love to come back again!

Farmhouse

This property has stunning views , being able to sit on the front porch was so relaxing , even during a thunderstorm. Gloria and Ed are so sweet and were very helpful with different things to do in the area. Peace and quiet was amazing ❤️

Digital Detox-wonderful location

Gloria and Ed are fabulous hosts!! The property is very tranquil and has all the equipment you need for a wonderful stay. The farm is very relaxed and picturesque. Not far from Ohiopyle or Laurel Ridge State Parks. Wifi and air conditioning worked great for the summer humidity and the pool was very refreshing. Perfect for sitting down and reading or to use as a home base to explore the PA hiking in the state parks. Very clean and spacious and would absolutely book again.

Amazing weekend, wonderful location

We stayed for an extended weekend this summer and it was amazing. The house is beautiful, the property is great (more below), and it's within a few minutes of Ohiopyle for hiking, biking, food, rafting, and more. Also the family running the farm are super friendly and accommodating, just the right amount of there if you need anything and out of the way if you want privacy. It's great to see them here and there while walking or fishing on the property, it feels more like you're a friend or neighbor. It's a really amazing feeling to stay here. The property is immaculate, it's definitely a working farm over the hill if you're interested in seeing it (very cool imo), but that's out of sight of the house. Instead the house, pond, and area the house is located feels more like a beautifully manicured park. We only have great things to say about the trip, and are already looking forward to staying here again. Hope everyone gives this place a try at least once, you'll thank yourself.

The most perfect vacation spot!

We loved our stay so much and hope to return! The pool table and checkers game were my daughter’s favorite and the view was unparalleled, as we enjoyed sunsets from the huge porch! We also enjoyed the owners’ dogs who were so friendly. The beds were incredibly comfortable, the kitchen was perfectly outfitted for our needs, the bathroom towels were great (and plenty), the soap/shampoo/conditioner in the showers was much appreciated, and the DVD collection was great also! 7 minutes to Fallingwater and 12 minutes to Ohiopyle where we enjoyed watching the trains and eating ice cream by the river.

Fabulous farmhouse

We enjoyed our weekend at the farmhouse. The large kitchen was great for several people. Well-furnished and clean, and the view is wonderful from the top of the hill. The house is quite close to the ski areas, and we visited Laurel Ridge which had ample snow for cross country skiing. The hosts were attentive and friendly, and we thank them for their wonderful place.

Great location and a cozy home

We enjoyed our stay very much. It was a short drive to downhill skiing, cross country skiing, hiking in Ohiopyle and Fallingwater. We always looked forward to getting back to the quiet farmhouse to cook dinner and play a board game or pool. The kids (ages 11 and 14) also enjoyed the swing. It was a bonus to be able to charge up our plug-in hybrid for the next day's adventure. The beds were comfortable the kitchen was well stocked. The tap water comes from a natural spring and is way better than anything you can buy at the store. We wanted to take some home! Our hosts stopped by and were incredibly nice and attentive. We highly recommend this place.

Perfect location for Falling Water

The four of us had a great stay Gloria and Ed’s farmhouse. While only 10 minutes to Falling Water the house is at least 1/2 mile off of the main road and a good ways up the hill. You have a great view of the mountains from the wrap around front porch and it is completely silent on the property.. The house had everything we needed for the dinner and breakfasts that we made. Ed constructed a very effective smokeless fire pit and provided us with wood for two nights fires. If you are looking for a clean comfortable home base when visiting the Laurel Highlands this is it.

Farmhouse vacation

Our family had a great time staying at the Farmhouse! The property was clean and comfortable and close to Ohiopyle, which was one of the main reasons we were visiting the area. Gloria was a great host and made us feel welcome. Would choose to stay again if the opportunity arose!

Farmhouse as well supplied as a fine hotel

When Gloria says all you need to bring is your food, she means it. The farmhouse has all bedding, towels, a well equipped kitchen including many spices, fine soaps, lotions, shampoo and conditioner in the bathrooms and showers. Except for maid service, it was very much like a nice hotel, except a nice country farmhouse. Gloria is a gracious inn keeper. I would stay again without hesitation.

Stunningly beautiful location, fabulous hosts

What an amazing location! Beautiful, quiet, and among the most gracious hosts we’ve met. Ed and Gloria were very kind and even went so far as to bring my son a birthday cake. Ed made sure we had wood for the fire pit but the weather didn’t cooperate. This is definitely in our top 2 or 3 stays. You can’t go wrong here.

The GAP Riders

We couldn’t have asked for a better location , house or owner than the farm house at Mill Run. Gloria was wonderful to work with - very responsive,. The home is well loved and we felt lucky that Gloria partnered it VRBO.
