    Welcome to The Summer House, located in the quaint waterfront community of Slaughter Beach on the southern shores of the Delaware Bay.

    Our hope is that your family creates the same wonderful memories here that we have enjoyed for years. Experience the slower pace of a traditional beach vacation, complete with spectacular sunrises, peaceful evenings, and the soothing sound of gentle waves just steps from your door.

    Only 70 feet from the water’s edge, our cottage offers breathtaking views of the Delaware Bay and a relaxing atmosphere perfect for couples, families, grandparents, and children alike.

Relaxing Stay Our family of 4 stayed here for 7 days and it was so secluded and far away touristy areas.The property was 5 stars. The layout and furniture were beautiful and clean.The beds so comfortable!The only drawback was the bay was not so enjoyable due to the bugs and we couldn’t swim in the water due to the mucky waters.Lots and lots of Horseshoes crabs… all dead and the smell is bad at times.

Absolutely Amazing

This place was absolutely amazing. My boys loved all the sea life they were able to see and explore. They flipped over so many horseshoe crabs. Jennifer was amazing at responding to any questions we had prior to our stay and while we were there. We will definitely be back!

Perfect getaway!

Clean, well maintained, well equipped, all the comforts of home, plus the beautiful view of the bay. Quiet, yet not far from the hustle and bustle of tourist places and great dining. We had a great time and plan on returning.

Our second stay at the Summer House was just as peaceful and lovely as our first visit. The home is comfortable and has everything we needed for the week. Mother Nature offered us a crazy weather week from gorgeous sun and light breezes to thunderstorms and rainbows. Thank you to Jen for being a wonderful host.

Special Getaway

Love this place. It's perfect for two couples looking to relax. You have the beach to yourself and it's just steps away. Perfect location for us, we prefer the quiet places rather than the bigger beach areas. Owners are very nice and have thought of everything to make your stay comfortable.

Great views with great beach house.

The property manager was excellent, the beach house was beautiful and had everything a family would need to enjoy their visit. The views off the beach were beautiful. I would recommend this beach house. It was relaxing and enjoyable.

Great for young families

We loved being right on the beach! Perfect for coming in and out for napping babe and a more active toddler. Lots to explore on the beach and beautiful views from the house. Walmart delivery made the stay very easy!

WONDERFUL COTTAGE

Best vacation in years! Just steps to the beach and oh so quiet!! Many restaurant choices just a short drive away. This slice of beach is a hidden gem. The cottage was PERFECT! Well stocked kitchen, comfy beds and very nice living space. We even saved a few horseshoe crabs. Can’t wait to go back!

The absolute best beach cottage!

This is the second time we have stayed at this property and I am sure we will again! The cottage is literally on the beach, and every day the tide brings in smooth stones, unusual rocks, and fascinating fossils. (I use them in my mosaic artwork.) The cottage is beautiful, with everything you need for a relaxing vacation, and the owner is very kind and immediately responsive to any questions. In spring, when we have stayed there, we are usually the only people on the beach, so it is wonderful for privacy. It is one of our favorite places!
