Roomy and Private Getaway for Families & Friends

Perfect for Gatherings, Families, Birthdays, Group Outings: Enjoyment & Tranquility in Nature. Nestled on two acres of picturesque land, the property boasts a fully-equipped six-bedroom house. Conveniently located within a 5-minute drive to popular attractions such as the beach, casino, and outlet mall. Formerly a church, the house has been transformed into an inviting Vrbo rental, featuring a renovated interior, fire pit, gazebo, and many amenities.

The interior has undergone a complete overhaul, featuring a fresh roof, upgraded appliances, a new HVAC system, and more. Out back, there's ample room for volleyball, a new greenhouse, and a designated camping area. At the front, enjoy a community garden and abundant parking space for at least 12 vehicles.

The neighborhood boasts a pleasant ambiance, with neighbors including a doctor, a former banker, and a retired lawyer.

Conveniently located within a three to five-minute drive from the beach, restaurants, an outlet mall, grocery stores, and various other attractions.

The house is very large with a lot of wasted space. There’s very little counter space in the kitchen. There’s plenty of room for an island. The furniture is a mish mash of different pieces that look like they came from Good Will. The kitchen chairs have broken parts. The bathroom towels look like rags that I’ve thrown away. The kitchen garbage can was filthy with garbage on the inside lid. The freezer had ice trays instead of an ice maker. We had to purchase ice. The bathrooms are next to each other down a long hallway quite aways from four of the bedrooms. Makes it inconvenient for using the bathroom in the middle of the night. For the price we expected a much more upscale place. We will not use this VRBO again.

A family member arranged to have a family gathering (all of us from out of town from 2-6 hrs away). We didn’t know the area well and only have one day all together. Typically we meet at a park etc. but not knowing the area made that tough. I was nervous about potential weather issues and was looking for a back up plan that would allow pets. This property ended up being our only plan when my family looked at the listing. My family of 5 and my parents stayed the weekend, but we entertained 30 people for our reunion there. It’s really perfect for this purpose. The weather ended up beautiful, so we were outside most the day, but plenty of room inside if it hadn’t work out. The covered patio was awesome. Nice lighting, a fan, and insect/dirt free area for our oldest family members. Would highly recommend!

Matthew's property was just as described. It was clean and he was a very responsive host. We were a short drive from both Michigan City and New Buffalo. We enjoyed how quite the home was but how easy it was to get to the beach, shopping and restaurants. The house is spacious, has most of the basic kitchen supplies you need to make meals (we cooked breakfasts and dinners at the home), and was clean. It was great for our family trip of 6 adults and 3 kids under 3.

Family Fun

Family Vacation

The property was just what we needed for our large family vacation. The living/dining/family area is massive and made a great place for adults and kids to gather. The outside area was expansive and just right for picnics, playing, and fellowshipping. The kitchen was nicely equipped. There is tons of parking. The property is nicely isolated, but close to the locations we wanted to visit. We were VERY satisfied and will very likely come again.

Super nice rental!

From all the rooms to the fire pit I wish we had more people. We had 6 & that was perfect for the only 2 bathrooms but a girl’s trip here would be awesome still. So spacious! Wish there were a little more kitchen items but they still had a good amount. One of my friends left her new Fitbit & the owners were kind enough to notify the cleaning crew who then left it for us wrapped up in the mailbox. How kind. Super great stay best location & worth every penny! Even the nearby town Michigan City, we went shopping in had plenty of options. There was a Dollar General around the corner as well for simple items. Highly recommend.

Great Multi-Family property in Mich city

We had a great time at "the Compound" as we so lovingly came to call it over our stay. This is a great multi-family house- 6 bedrooms and two full baths. The two main living spaces are kid friendly and the backyard firepit and game table were great additions. Plenty of parking, and supplies on hand. Beds were comfortable and the house was clean. Super close to the beach, attractions and everything Mich City has to offer. Matt was super responsive and great to work with.

Amazing Weekend

Matthew was an absolutely amazing host. His property was much bigger than expected, with tons of area for our group. His place was incredibly clean and well taken care of. He checked in with our group on multiple occasions to make sure everything was running smoothly and was prompt to answer our questions. No doubt in my mind we will be back!

Good times for all! Lots of space!

Practical, practical, practical! Great indoor AND outdoor space! Perfect for a large family! 6 bedrooms and 2 major common areas. The yard, canopy, and fire pit, etc. were spacious for games, meals and 'social distancing'. Lots to do within short distances - - many beaches. We loved it!
