"Spotless toom ,very good food and excellent staff."

"Arrived pretty late but a warm welcome from the staff, the complimentary drink on arrival was well received and nice surprise. We stayed in the Langford Room which was amazing, lovely a clean, nice little things like the cookies and a welcome personalised note. Miles was excellent, spent time chatting with us and telling us about the area and where to go. Would highly recommend and will definately be back "

"Very nice place to stay. Very friendly and accommodating staff without exception. Food in general was good, and Sunday lunch was exceptional. Room was comfortable although decor was a little tired. Well situated in Cheddar. Only caveat - the room was at the front and the traffic noise from the road was extremely loud. Earplugs were provided but I struggle to sleep with those things. But I would go back so overall a positive relaxing weekend."

"“It does what it says on the tin”. Very convenient for Bristol airport. Bathroom was smart but could have done with a hook on the wall for the towel. The host brought some extra milk & cereals to the room. Very nice. As points for improvement the mattress could be a bit harder and it would have been nice to be able to lock the door during the night."

"The rooms were really nice and the staff were lovely. Breakfast was laid out at 9pm, which I understand due to it being an airport hotel however this then meant that come the morning, there was not much of anything left over. There was 1 pastry left at 7.30am, and no staff until around to replenish this. "

"A very pleasant stay at “The Carps”. Very pleasant, helpful, friendly staff. The room was very pleasant with a comfortable bed and roomy shower room. The room layout reflects the history of the property with a couple of shallow steps between the bedroom and shower. We stayed for dinner and were rewarded by a tasty meal. A good selection of vegetarian options. Our usual habit of swapping plates half though very much went by the board. Breakfast was very good with both millennial and traditional...

"Spotlessly clean, fabulous hosts and stocked with everything you could possibly need. Reading past reviews I was shocked at mentions of the floors being cold. It's an 18th century cellar for goodness sake!!! Stone floors are part of the charm. It is cosy and warm at this time of year (and I imagine lovely and cool in the summer).I would definitely stay again for its location, its cleanliness and its hosts. Can't fault it except for the mattress, which is a bit "argos" and could do with a good...
