"I loved the place, I was welcomed with a welcome package with tea and supplies. It was a 245 year old cottage so it has a few “features” which I loved the most about the place. I loved the three story staircase which was very good cardio. I’d love to stay again wonderful "

"Ramblers cottage is spotlessly clean and comfortable, homely and well equipped with everything you need. Modern but with bags of character and we loved little Jess popping in to visit! "Great cottage for a stay with dogs. Warm and cosy, wooden floors everywhere and a door to stop them going upstairs. Very well equipped kitchen, comfortable furniture, huge beds with good bedding. Everywhere clean and tidy and really good to have a bath as well as a shower for a nice soak after a long walk. Also grateful for the detailed instructions from the owner how to find the cottage as we may have driven past the lane. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting to visit the Matlock area...

"Nice quirky barn conversion and on a working farm if you like that sort of thing. Not well signposted and accessed by a farm track I wouldn't like to negotiate in winter. Given it's a twenty minute walk into Cromford a few tea bags and milk would have been welcome when we got there. Wine nice touch, tea facilities essential. Yes we could have taken our own.. "The property was great, very spacious with plenty of room for our extended family, 7 people total. Everything was well taken care of. The kitchen was very well stocked, and communication was great. Location was terrific, with lots of great shops and restaurants. One thing to be aware of is that there are several flights of stairs to get to the flat. That was a bit of a surprise, but we were able to manage it."

"The cottage looks to have very recently been renovated and modernised with a lovely bathroom and a compact but well equipped kitchen.
