Enjoy a leisurely walk through the beautiful park to the town centre, explore its historic buildings and stroll round the shops and restaurants.

Living/dining room: With Freesat TV and Netflix, Wood burner effect electric stove
Kitchen: With electric oven, gas hob, fridge/freezer and washing machine.

First Floor:
Bedroom: With kingsize bed.
Bathroom: With freestanding slipper bath, shower cubicle, toilet and heated towel rail.

Gas central heating, gas, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Welcome pack.

Courtyard garden with sitting-out area and garden furniture. Private parking for 1 car. No smoking. Please note: No children.

Blue Sky Cottage is a beautiful stone-built cottage property, ideally located on a quiet no through road with the benefit of having easy reach to Matlock town centre, via a level walk through the wonderful park, and close to the local amenities of Matlock Green. This charming, characterful, terraced cottage offers a large living area to relax in, a spacious bedroom and breathtaking bathroom along with a freestanding slipper bath to soak in after a busy day exploring. The kitchen leads to an outside seating area to enjoy a relaxing drink.
Matlock is a picturesque spa town in the heart of Derbyshire close to the Peak District National Park, surrounded by beautiful open countryside. The town has a wealth of historic buildings as well as excellent local amenities. At the centre of the town is Hall Leys Park with sports facilities, children’s play area, formal gardens and a riverside walk. Shop, pub and restaurant 300 yards.

Very comfortable, cosy cottage. The owner has thought of everything for making your stay pleasant. Great location in walking distance of town centre and the lovely local pub Red Lion.

Had a lovely 4 night stay , the cottage was lovely and situated in a great location near the centre of Matlock, just a 5 minute walk through the park to all the shops and restaurants, would definitely stay there again next time we’re in the area for a break

Beautiful cottage , close to the town in a quiet little side street. Equipped with everything you need a home from home, Bed was really comfortable and the shower was amazing .

Weekend Trip

Lovely cottage in a lovely area. There is lots of places to visit just a short drive away. You xan easily walk into Matlock from the cottage there are a couple of lovely pubs just a short walk away. The cottage has everything you need for your stay, the kitchen is well equipped.

Excellent cottage

A beautifully well-equipped cottage in a perfect location. Cosy and comfortable. Fab shower and comfortable bed. Lots of things to do and good bars and restaurants within very short walking distance. Great railway link a sort walk away, so easy access to Nottingham and Derby.

Sky blue cottage

The cottage was lovely and clean. The owner gave us a bottle of wine too. It is near to the park, pub, fish shop, pizza place, indian, chinese. The bed is lovely and comfortable. We would definetly stay there again.

Blue Sky Cottage, Matlock

We had a wonderful week staying in this great one bed cottage. It is well equipped and is really comfortable. It’s location was perfect for walks along the river or through the park. Matlock is a gorgeous little town with lots of excellent places to enjoy food and refreshments and is exceptionally dog friendly.

Two great weeks in Matlock

Thanks for the lovely 1 bedroom flat near the main park in Matlock. It was super clean and the host kept in touch when we had questions. The parking space was too small for our rentalSUV but we managed to find street parking each night. We would definitely come back.

Excellent cosy cottage in very good location. Parking space was a little awkward getting in and out.

Lovely old cottage with all the home comforts. Good location In Matlock which was lovely and clean with very friendly people. Lots of good easy walks. Good food and plenty restaurants. Will go back.

Lovely cottage in perfect location

Small cottage perfectly situated in Matlock . Short walk in lovely park to town centre. Very clean and comfortable. Well equipped kitchen. Nice selection bars , cafes, restaurants within walking distance. Good communication with owner. Definitely recommend and would stay again.

Exactly as advertised

Good central location for Matlock (not up a hill). Park very close for dog walking. Very comfortable bed and spacious bathroom. Car parking a bit tight as mentioned but ok for a average car - the drive in is easy, backing out slow but no real problem. Very nice stay esp. the easy short walk to all central pubs and shops, after a day walking in the surrounding hills.

Very nice stay in Matlock

The house was very cosy and in great condition. The location is great and its so handy to have parking. If you have a big car it may be a little tight. I have a Volvo V90 which fitted but only just.

Klein maar fijn

Het verblijf was prima. Er was alleen aangegeven via FEWO dat alles begane grond was, dit bleek niet het geval. Voor mensen met een beperking dus erg lastig. Parkeerplaats aanwezig maar zeer lastig in en uitrijden. Het café de Red Lion is een aanrader. Goed eten en een lekker biertje/wijntje tegen redelijke prijzen.

Absolutely beautiful cottage and perfect location for me - not isolated and lots to do on the doorstep- perfect for me wanting to be out in the hills.Christmas tree was a nice touch but would have been better with fairy lights. Very highly recommended. Only negative is that my car would not fit in the designated space.

Really lovely property, nice and cosy. Only small bugbear is that some kitchen items were grimy/icky to the point that we bought cutlery from Boyes to use. Regarding parking, we have a long car (wide estate) but it has good manoeuvrability. Having said that, it was a parking space that we had to reverse out of and then down the entry lane. So we were fine with one person guiding (to avoid the stone walls) but it might not be good for some cars
