"Our second visit to this delightful establishment. The setting and surrounding area is so pretty, plenty of parking spaces and an easy walk to the nearby bar and restaurant. "I booked this hotel as a birthday treat for my son and his girlfriend, and they had an amazing time. The service was outstanding – they were made to feel so welcome from the moment they arrived. It really made the occasion feel extra special, and I just wanted to say thank you to the team for looking after them so well. I’m now really looking forward to visiting myself soon with my wife – can’t wait!"

"Lovely people and delicious food. Bar was very friendly. Spacious room (#5) and big and comfortable bed. No internet in bedroom (think it was faulty as it showed a signal) but OK in bar. Water pressure in room #5 very poor but clean a pleasant bathroom. No mobile service but that is obviously not The Maypole’s fault!"

"Stayed for one night,our room was an exeutive room,but dont know why its classed as that,as the view was amazing,but nothing in the room as extra,ni bottled water,no mini bar etc,the bed was really low,and no bed sheets on the matress,just a thing sheet and a duvet,birds feathers and crumbs on the floor,i guess a quick hoover would have removed those,breakfast took over 40 mins,as a charity bike ride crew were befire us,the fried eggs were hard,no yolk,overall not fantastic,and room for...

"A really great find! Un peu de cuisine française en Angleterre! Service is excellent, food is so good 10 isn’t enough. "Would definitely visit again! We had a free room upgrade and it was a significant improvement on the room we had anticipated - thank you very much! The room looked a little tired and so were some of the corridor/stair areas too. Our wasn't perfectly clean - the windows, mirrors and a large crisp was fairly obvious but overall, it was good.
