Marathon paradise!!

Never having stayed in Marathon, we didn’t know what to expect, but this sweet pink cottage exceeded our every expectation!!! The home was very spacious and comfortable for our 8 family members (2 slept on pull out couch). We spent most mornings on the screened porch. The tiki hut was great for cocktails in the evening. The pool was nice to have but a little warm at times. It is the Keys after all!! We had three cars and plenty of parking. We didn’t have a boat but there was a nice boat lift on our dock. The house had everything we needed including games and books. The rental company was AMAZING. Very responsive via text and email. They provided very helpful ‘locals’ info. We loved Horseshoe Beach, Sunset Park and Veterans Beach. The house even had snorkeling gear (for 3). We saw two manatee but didn’t catch much off the dock… probably because we had a massive rain storm one day that made the water murky. We ate at Castaways, Burdine’s, Sunset Grill, 7 Mile Grill and Lazy Days South. All had very good food and atmosphere. Will definitely be back soon!!!

Nice Stay for Thanksgiving Week

Location was great. Pool Heated to 85 Plenty of board games and TV's in the house. Caught plenty of fish off the dock. Momma Manatee with Baby off the docks one of the days. We were able to dock a 27ft boat, about 4ft was past the back of dock but this did not cause any issues. Open dock length about 22ft. Bring bug spray that works on Noseeums.

Flamingo Island Home

We truly enjoyed our stay. This was hands down my favorite home we have stayed at in the keys so far. Just sitting in the backyard is paradise. They had everything we needed in the home and then some. The kids enjoyed the pool and we enjoyed being steps away from hopping on our boat and going fishing or out to the reef. Our family would definitely stay here again.

Poolside in the Shade

Pool and tiki hut were the perfect combination - dip in the pool, and shade under the tiki to keep cool, read a book, and enjoy the sun. Marathon has the layed back quality we needed, with a couple of trips to busy Key West only 1.25 hour drive away. Enjoyed our time chilling out at the house, but also took advantage of all the outdoor and water related activities around: beaches, parks, aquarium, jet ski tour, charter fishing, and more.

Perfect Getaway

The house is super cute and worked perfectly for our family. We loved the back area with the pool, tiki area and dock. Check in was a little stressful only because the email with the code was never sent out and I couldn’t get a hold of anyone at first but they did explain it was a new email system and apologized. AC was a little slow to get going but after cleaning the filter that helped and it worked fine the rest of the trip. We would definitely love to stay there again.

The Keys

The pool area and house were wonderful. Loved the Tiki area and palm trees. The kitchen is spacious and well supplied with utensils, pots and pans. Everything worked as expected except the hot and cold in the showers and kitchen sink are backwards. Overall a great week in the Keys with family.

Family trip

We enjoyed the house. Pool caused us to all get burning rashes even though pool guy came and treated pool said oh low caused by rain well rained the day he came and next day more rashes on the 2 people who had just got in for first time. Was really hard to keep grandkids out but rashes burned and caused bumps all over.

Wonderful retreat for aL

The house has everything you need, pool, canal, dock and tiki hut. Would highly recommend improving the WiFi as none of our Apple devices would connect only non- Apple devices connected which was only 1 device out of 4 phones & a computer. Also after using all the ice the ice machine stopped making ice. We did have to call the management company and they were very responsive. Overall the house was perfect for a low key vacation and the location was close to everything. Would definitely book this house again.

Exceeded Expectations

My husband and I, our two young children (1 and 3), and my husbands parents all stayed in this house for a week. We absolutely loved it. The pictures do not do the house justice. The backyard in beautiful, with plenty of space to hangout around the pool or on the screened-in deck. The house was clean and very comfortable, with a well-stocked kitchen. We had an issue with the pool chemicals and someone came out first thing to fix it. The management company was very responsive and helpful. It is also a perfect location, close to the beach and lots to do in Marathon. It was our first trip to the Keys and we will definitely be back!

AMAZING!

My family and I have rented a VRBO property for the past 5+ atleast once a year for a family vacation down to Florida. And this property has been the absolute best we’ve ever had! The owners were amazing and very informative and helpful, the house was stocked to a T! Anything and everything you could possibly need, they had it! Marathon was a great location and not to hectic and packed like downtown Keywest was. Absolutely loved it and planning another stay soon!

Great House and Great Location

We are a family of 5. There was plenty of room in the house. The backyard is nice and private and the boat ride to the ocean is short. We had a few minor issues ( out of anyone’s control) that were attended to quickly by the property management. The house could use some more pool towels. Next time I will just bring some with us. Hoping to come back next year.

Great house

We loved our stay at this beautiful home. Had a couple issues with the pool but the owner responded right away and sent someone out on Sunday and to try and fix.. He was unable but a pool maintenance guy came Monday and got the heater working. Had an issue with the ph balance in pool later and owner sent the pool guy back out to correct the issue. Things happen and the owners responsiveness was top notch. The kitchen is well equipped for all the cooking we did all week. We would definitely stay at this house again. Centrally located in Marathon to tons is restaurants. Just a side note if you travel in November, be sure to check the wind. We had a couple excursions cancelled because of the high winds (which seems to be normal for November) Still a wonderful family vacation.

Master Bedroom and Microwave

We had a great vacation. However, when we got there, the Master Bedroom and Master Bath had not been clean. We had to wash the sheet ourselves, make the bed, and clean the bathroom. The microwave was not working and we reported it on Monday and we were told that the maintenance man would be there on Tuesday to fix/replace, didn't show up all week. We made due. The house great/ the Property Mangement, no so much!

We can’t wait to come back!

We can’t wait to come back! This property had everything needed to have an amazing week in paradise. The kitchen was well-stocked, and the home was clean and thoughtfully organized. The bedrooms were roomy, the beds and furniture were incredibly comfortable, but I’d have to say the pool area was our favorite part! We were there for a week and it seemed as if the pool was cleaned twice during our stay which is pretty cool! This is our third trip to the Keys and I have to say Marathon is my favorite. This property is located in an area where we were close to all the great food, shopping and beaches! John, the owner, gave us a list of great places to eat and I have to say it was a excellent list. We really did love our stay here, and honestly can’t wait to come back with our family!

We had a great week, the home is very nice and comfortable. The pool and tiki hut was great. Also being able to keep the boat on the dock at the house made this so easy. Would definitely recommend this property and will definitely be back

Great Location

Great location and a terrific house! Well supplied and close to Publix, gas, liquor, bait/tackle, and restaurants/bars. Only down side was that we did not hear from the property management team until Monday when we checked-in on Saturday and had a problem with the cleanliness and chemical issues of the pool, which left it unusable for 4 days; the pool service company did not come out until Tuesday AM.

Exceeded every expectation

Loved everything about the home, accommodations, and location. Impeccable. Owners thought of everything. Checked every box for us - from pool, to boat dock, restaurants, things to do, and home itself. Hope to return and rent again someday.
