Travel the Dale Road between the two and cable cars will transport you to the Heights of Abraham hilltop park. Alternatively, visit Crich Tramway Village (17 miles), which offers scenic rides, a period village scene, woodland walk and sculpture trail. Sherwood Forest (9 miles) and Clumber Park (10 miles) are also popular family days out.
