The location was fabulous...the house was a disappointment as the shower was very rickety and unsafe (long shower curtain) and the tub was dirty(stained), the kitchen sink tap was broken, the storage was very limited as the drawers were full of blankets and pillows and no real other place to put them. The only real storage was the place to hang clothes on the back of the bedroom door. All that being said the view from the deck was fab, the bbq was great, the kitchen was well stocked but for the price I paid, it was definitely not worth it. Also the bedroom off the dining room has a very uncomfortable bed and the lakefront bedroom had a comfy bed. The furniture (couch and dining chairs) were also uncomfortable. If you plan on sleeping 8, beware the middle bedroom is a twin bed and the other 2 are doubles, not queens.

Awesome location

We had a fantastic time here. The place was so cute and it was easy to walk anywhere we needed. The beds are small (double beds) but the views from the front made up for it. We left a couple of pillows and the hosts were wonderful about returning them to us.

Cute cozy cabin

This cute cabin had plenty of room for 5 adults to sleep, have meals, play games and watch some football. We would definitely stay again. The location is fantastic looking out at the lake and an easy walk to the pool.thank you!

Location was good. View of lake was beautiful. The mouse droppings put a huge damper on our ladies weekend getaway. Mouse droppings by the stove, under kitchen sink and other lower cabinets. Mouse droppings in my bedroom and in the pull out couch. Had difficulty with the wifi. Took hours to finally get hooked up. Had sent many texts to the management company and host and took hours for responses. I had requested a reimbursement of funds from the host and never got a reply. Instead sent a person to clean cabin on her lunch break. We had a disappointing stay and will not go back to that cabin.

Great beach front property

Easy self-check in, great communication beforehand, all amenities available as advertised. With the lake right across the street, cooking on the beautiful deck, it was a great trip for my friends and I. Would definitely recommend, and would book again!

Great location in an interesting village. Close to the beach, the Spa and restaurants. Nice water view from the front deck. We were a total of 5 people which worked perfectly in the space. We had some problems with the WiFi and the internet and the property manager came twice to fix it but we lost internet again the last day of our stay.

So lucky!

I am so lucky to have the same friends for more than 50 years. We are so lucky to have found a place to go together where we feel safe and comfortable and can eat and drink and visit and laugh to our hearts’ content. And we were so lucky to have the most beautiful weather imaginable for our weekend get away.

Girls getaway

The cabin is very well stocked in a nice quiet area right across from the lake. Within walking distance to the main beach, but you could swim right across the street. My only request would be to have a nice comfy chair in tv area. We would definitely stay there again.

Duck hunting Trip

Cute cabin at the lake

This cabin was very cute and the beds were comfortable. It wouldn’t be able to accommodate 10 people and I’m not sure why that is stated in the listing. 6 people would be max I would have stay at this location. The community is so unique and friendly.

The cabin is exactly as described. Very comfortable and well equipped. i cannot imagine how it could ever accommodate 10 people as listed but worked perfectly for four guys hunting in the area.

Lovely Spot on the Beach

This is a fun little cottage right across from the lake. Very quiet, well-equipped and functional. Needs a little more comfortable seating - you can only sit 3 people on the small couch - but that's minor if you'll spend most of your time outside (nice deck and firepit area). There are three levels with a step up in between; definitely need to watch that you don't trip. Recommend for a family getaway or friends golf weekend (and be sure to take in the pool!). Excellent communication with the hosts.

Very enjoyable

Overall it was really good. A few suggestions to the owner - the screen door to the deck is difficult to open and close, the gas lines on barbecue need cleaning, the nozzle for the water hose beside the cottage needs work - it sprays all over the place, was no vacuum to clean the rug.

Pricy...Adequate for the

It was comfortable and well stocked. The most persons stay would be 7 and that is a squeeze..no way 10 persons unless you slept on the bare floor. Screen door needs to be adjusted slides terribly. No support handles in shower..really high to get into. Too many steps room to room...for elderly people.

Relaxation

We found the peace and relaxation rejuvenating. Everything was great. We do have two observations. The second chesterfield in the dining room only serves to make the dining room crowded. The long table in the dining room makes is hard to play cards, we miss the old round table. But we love the cottage and the view from the deck is wonderful.

Images don’t match the size and price for the location. Very small rooms, the beds cannot sleep to normal size humans. We had very hard time sleeping 6. We left a night early due to kids needing more space to sleep and overall very small space for the price paid.tried cancelling with 24-7 at the begging but apparently we weren’t able to for whatever reason but greed. We were forced to make this trip happen so we don’t lose 1000 but ended up leaving a day early. I would rather pay 200 per room at the spa hotel and have more room. *bring our own wood*very small bathroom *bath is super small Overall space is very small and not made for a family of 4 or more.

Beautiful lake view in rustic cabin

I am familiar with Manitou Beach so know the lake and area very well. That said, after many visits over the years, this was my first extended stay. The cabin was very clean and well equipped. Used the dishwasher and the washer/dryer during my stay and it was was nice to have those amenities in a beach cabin. The cabin itself is quite rustic but well kept. Bedrooms are quite small but the bed was comfortable and the fans in every room worked to keep the cabin cool enough to sleep comfortably in 30 plus summer weather. Made a point of getting up to enjoy some beautiful sunrises on the beach and equally spectacular sunsets on the cabin deck. The cabin location is definitely a big plus when it comes to enjoying the ambience of Manitou Beach especially after the vehicle traffic has ebbed in the later afternoon and the lake is in full reflection on a windless morning or evening. Also enjoyed a visit to Wellington Park, Lockwood Sourdough, an impromptu guided tour of Danceland and a libation at Mike’s Beach Bar. All in all a great mini vacation only a few hours from home.

Peaceful Retreat

Perfect location if you want complete serenity. House was in a perfect location for viewing scenery and lake and for accessing the village. For more shopping , Watrous is very close and easy to get to. We arrived later in the evening than planned and it was a little awkward to see the number on the house and the entry door was up a path beside the house, not the easiest to access in the dark. It does have a motion sensor light though once you reach the door do all good. My only suggestion would be to have the light on in the front. This house was very well stocked and comfortable. It would be nice to have written instructions on how/ where to find the heaters and instructions for the tv. A pamphlet on the town and the resort would be nice. These are all very minor touches and overall a very enjoyable stay and a lovely spot. Will definately recommend and have already told friends and family about it and the village. Thank you Arlene and thank you Ariel. We will be back hopefully during summer.
