The Cabin at Bursaw Beach

The Cabin at Bursaw Beach has 150 feet of frontage on Lake Michigan. It was completely renovated in 2024. The lake has a rock bottom in front of the cabin.

The Cabin has 3 bedrooms and 1 full bath. You’ll enjoy all the amenities of home while enjoying the views and sand of Lake Michigan - not exactly a "cabin", but that's what we call it. Explore the upper peninsula or just relax by the lake. You can walk for miles on the sandy beach in both directions.

Bedroom 1 has a view of Lake Michigan with a full bed and a 50 inch TV. Bedroom 2 has a queen bed and a 40 inch TV. Bedroom 3 has a twin bunk bed and a 32 inch TV.

The living room has a sectional couch with a 60 inch TV. There is a stereo receiver with built in speakers in the living room and dining room. Stream music from your phone via Bluetooth or choose an AM or FM station. The internet service is Starlink.

The bathroom has a bathtub with a shower above. It also has a full size washer and dryer.

The kitchen contains an electric stove, microwave, dishwasher, toaster, coffee maker and refrigerator. Unfortunately it is challenging to winterize an ice maker in a seasonal cottage, so bring ice or make ice with the trays provided.

Outside you’ll find a firepit near the beach. Firewood is provided. There are Adirondack chairs as shown in the picture. There are also beach lounge chairs so you can lay flat - perfect for an afternoon beach nap. There are some plastic beach toys for kids.

There is a concrete charcoal grill built in the 1960s. We also have a propane gas grill if charcoal isn’t your thing.

There is parking for up to 6 cars or a couple trucks and trailers. There is an outdoor 120V outlet to charge a car or plug in a camper.

The water in the cabin is well water. Bring bottled water if you prefer.

Towels and beach towels are provided.

All TVs are smart TVs in which you can add your favorite apps. There is no TV service.

No pets allowed.

No smoking allowed on the property.

No events or parties.

There is no air conditioning. There are fans in the bedrooms.

There is an electric fireplace in the living room.

There is no dock/pier. The shore is a mix of rocks and sand. Beaching a boat or jet ski is not recommended due to the rocks and waves. The waves can be quite large. You may want to bring water shoes to walk through the rocks to get to sand for swimming or walk down the beach to find plenty of sandy areas. There is no lifeguard or life jackets. The beach changes day to day based on weather. Vegetation may grow on the beach if there has not been heavy waves or if the lake water level is down.

ATVs cannot be driven on the property. The road to the cottage is private. You can drive ATVs at a gentle speed to the trails.

Total space is 960 square feet.

Lake frontage is 150 feet with 100 feet vacant frontage to the south.

STAY HERE!! If you like a beautifully updated cabin that is super clean with an awesome lake view and a beach that you can walk for a long way on, stay here! My husband and I stayed here for 4 nights and everything was absolutely perfect! Everything was top notch and it was beautiful! The owners thought of everything you might need and the home was furnished beautifully. The view was phenomenal. We absolutely loved our stay and we hope to come back again. Perfect spot for a UP vacation! The cabin was clean, accommodating, and had everything we needed for a family of six. The kids loved playing with rocks and sand in front of the house (bring water shoes to play here), and there’s a great sand bar for swimming a short walk away. Kids enjoyed smores by the fire and my little ones loved the play set. A drive to Manistique for ice cream and groceries is a quick twenty minutes and there’s a general store at the end of the road for last minute needs. We traveled to Fayette, Kitch iti kippi, and Pictured rocks while we were here. Amazing vacation, thanks so much Scott!

this cabin is cozy and clean. you can walk the beach for miles. We enjoyed the large kitchen island / bar area for preparing food and eating. Lots of nice lighting in the cabin gives it a clean/cozy feeling. We enjoyed our stay immensely. 10/10 **********

Was a nice cabin . Very private and peacefull . The inside is updated nicely and everything is well taken care of . They do a nice job making sure you have everything you need. Plenty of wood for fires propane grill chairs .yard games and new playset for the kids . Only downside is this looks like a nice swim spot from the pictures but it is all large and small rocks in front of cabin, very hard to walk in . We had to walk down beach a couple hundred yards to the the south to find a usable beach/ swim spot , other then that we had a wonderful time at this beautiful property .

Everything about this place was amazing. The cabin was in a beautiful remote location. It was renovated and decorated beautifully. The cabin was well stocked with everything you would need. The kids loved the little playground and searching for treasures at the beach. We had to go down just a bit to get a sandy beach for swimming which was not a bad walk at all. The owners communication was great as well. We will definitely be coming back and can’t wait for the next stay!

Beautiful House

We enjoyed our stay at this home. The GPS took us right to the house. Very clean and right on the lake, beautiful views, it was wonderful to sit and listen to the waves. Great host. The house had everything we needed. My family enjoyed being able to relax in comfort.

We loved our stay at the cabin. It has been beautifully renovated and was exceptionally comfortable and clean. The beach is nice, but rocky and not groomed. It has a wild look to it with lots of interesting things that have washed ashore. Overall we very much enjoyed our stay.

Perfect getaway!

This property could not have been better! Absolutely everything was as good or better than the listing. From booking & payment to the accommodations and communication. Top notch! Wonderful stay!

Tranquility

This lovely cabin is off the beaten path, but close to parks and the town of Manistique. It was clean, quiet, and provided a respite that was very needed. We had an excellent time and enjoyed the mild UP summer. It was hard for us to say goodbye when it was time to leave.

Perfect for Family Getaway

The cabin was clean, quiet, and private. It was comfortable and set up with a family in mind including coloring books, children’s dishes, a stool in the bathroom, and even children's beach chairs. You couldn’t ask for easier access to Lake Michigan.

Nice beach getaway

Went up with our 5yr old and our friends with their 3yr old. It was a perfect spot to have a long weekend vacation together! Host was very communicative and the home was clean. Beach was huge and beautiful! Would love to return sometime.

Beautiful cottage and beach

We thoroughly enjoyed our time here. The cottage has everything you need! The beach was beautiful. It was quiet and serene and just what we were looking for!! We will definitely be back!
