The tropical vegitation surrounding the complex was stunning, with our own fish pond where we could fed the fish and relax to the sound of water, a very present surprise. Great pool and friendly staff. Fabulous restaurant next door. Thank you.

Spent 4 nights in the double bed bungalow; comfortable, great sleeps, and enjoyed the koi pool every morning from our verandah. An oasis in Candidasa under the supervision of our gracious host, Putu. The restaurant offers great options for enjoyable meals.

Séjour détente à l'hôtel "The Watergarden".

Nous aimons revenir à l'hôtel "The Watergarden", le personnel est charmant, attentionné. Le cadre merveilleux au milieu d'une nature luxuriante et de plans d'eau entourant les bungalows nichés dans la végétation. Le petit-déjeuner propose plusieurs formules. L'espace piscine est très agréable eau à 30°. Une étape agréable loin su tourisme de masse.

Water garden Hotel

A great few days at Watergarden Candidasa. The room was lovely, with a great verandah surrounded by fish ponds filled with koi. The rooms were very private, although noisy at night from the traffic from the road, dogs barking and roosters crowing! All of this was out of control of the hotel! The spa was fabulous!

A special place

Bit of a mix-up with airport transport on arrival so only 4 stars for that. They’ve changed their contact procedure as a direct result so well done for that. Other than that it’s a peaceful, spotless relaxing oasis, beautiful gardens, lovely staff and Putu arranged a boat for snorkelling one day and took me on a hike in the countryside to the traditional village and a honey & coffee farm on another day. Candi Dasa was quiet but I visited in low season, plenty of choice for restaurants.

A special place

Mysigt rum, dålig frukost

Otroligt mysigt med egen näckrosdamm vid rummet. Det enda negativa var att frukosten var väldigt liten Fick lov att äta en second breakfast på ett annat ställe. Dåligt bemötande direkt när jag kom för att det var så viktigt med att beställa dagen före. Och det var mest nej det går inte. Synd på i övrigt så fint hotell.

The layout was great, 2 bedrooms around a pool, but building were a bit run down and bed and bedding were clean but not very comfortable. Staff very nice and area was great but first night could hear the neighborhood bar playing music loudly until at least midnight. Thank god I had earplugs.

Schönes Hotel, aber in die Jahre gekommen

Hotel grundsätzlich ok, allerdings passt hier das Preis-/Leistungs-Verhältnis im Vergleich zu anderen Unterkünften auf Bali nicht. Deutlich sichtbar ist der Renovierungsrückstand, was bei den Zimmerpreisen etwas verwunderlich ist. Die Anlage an sich ist sehr schön angelegt mit vielen Teichen und Pflanzen. Man befindet sich sehr zentral in Candidasa und kann alle Restaurants praktisch zu Fuß erreichen. Ab 21 Uhr werden allerdings die Gehsteige hochgeklappt und man trifft so gut wie keine Menschenseele mehr auf der Straße.

Hotel location and quality

The location of the hotel was awful: close to the road so it was noisy, the gardens surrounding the room had a noxious smell and the hotel could use a makeover. There wasn’t any nice shops within walking distance and the surrounding stores were dirty.

This is a very peacefull hotel

The bungalows are all in the beautifull watergarden with beautifull flowers and koi in the water surrounding the bungalows. Staff is very helpfull. Rooms are clean. The restaurant served great food. I would recommend this hotel to my friends. Worth the money.

Mooie bungalows in jungle-tuin

Mooie bungalows met een vijver voor je veranda. Iedere bungalow heeft veel privacy door de jungle achtige tuin. De bungalow is niet groot, maar van alle gemakken voorzien en schoon. Het complex heeft een zeer aangenaam zwembad met gratis handdoeken voor hotelgasten. Het ligt aan de drukke hoofdweg die door Candidasa loopt, maar daar merk je niets van. 's Avonds hebben we bij de receptie een scooter besproken voor de volgende dag om 10 uur. Om 11 uur was er nog steeds geen scooter en vervolgens kregen we te horen dat het helemaal niet zou gaan lukken, omdat de scooters op waren. Er werd geen oplossing of tegemoetkoming aangedragen en moesten zelf opdraaien voor een veel duurder alternatief: de taxi. Verder moet je niet bang zijn voor kikkers.

Bungalows in a lush garden

This is a small and cozy place with nice bungalows in a lush garden. Clean rooms, hot water, friendly service, good location. No tv in the room! We spent your time on your terrace and watch the fishes in the pond.

Ridiculously unique garden boutique!

This must be one of the more unique boutique properties I have ever stayed in! The water lily pond just outside my room was a delight and the koi beside my dining table were mesmerizing! Nice and quiet in the back of the property with plenty to stroll and see along the Main Street.

A hotel that you will re-visit again and again

We regularly stay at the Watergarden Hotel in Candi Dasa. We love the privacy provided by the surrounding gardens and the comfortable seating provided in the outside under cover verandah area. Room service is very good and the food prices reasonable. A very high quality accommodation which we recommend to other couples who want a relaxing holiday.

Secluded escape in comfort

We stayed here for 4 nights and loved almost everything about it. The free standing cottage had a comfortable bedroom and bathroom with double doors onto the wide deck overlooking a thick garden hiding us from other guests. The pool area and cafe were also very pleasant shady areas to spend our time. The cafe breakfast was good value and plenty of options. Though not on the beach the hotel offers a very comfortable quiet secluded place to stay with plenty of restaurants and the beach a 3 minute walk away. There's no TV which we loved, patchy WiFi which we worked around and our room had very low water pressure that was frustrating.... We definitely stay there again

Die Anlage ist sehr schön und wer die Natur liebt kommt hier voll und ganz auf seine Kosten! Die Bungalows sind auch schön. Nun aber zur Kehrseite der Medaille; Die Massage im Hotel lassen sie besser aus, denn das Personal schreibt während dieser Dienstleistung lieber SMS und trägt als Gipfel der Frechheit noch die Gäste- Sandalen! Falls sie eine gute Internetverbindung bevorzugen, gehen sie lieber in ein Lokal in der Stadt. Kreditkartengebühren werden nicht wie üblich dem Hotel, sondern dem Gast belastet...

The hotel was nice overall. Loved the veranda with the garden view, but the overall room was ok. The first night I stayed the bed sheets looked as though they hadn't been changed in that there were multiple blood stains and the toilet didn't work properly. So used the extra blanket to sleep on top of sleets but the extra blanket had dirt/sand mixed in it. But they fixed the toilet the next day and changed bed sheets, fortunately this sheet only had one blood stain. There's no tv and the wifi is very slow. But the food was good and massage was lovely. And the driver they arranged for me for a day tour was very good and day tour great.

A place to unwind and relax ! Wonderful

As you arrive at the Watergarden Hotel in Candidasa, it is quite deceiving as the front reception is simple, and small. But what a wonderful treat - as we were lead to our rooms, up a very clean and tidy path through lush gardens, we were very pleased to see our room. Set in a very lush tropical setting, the room was lovely, nice and cool, and we had the joy of spending quite a lot of time relaxing on our verandah feeding out koi. It felt like that we were away from the world, so peaceful. Staff were wonderful, especially the Orchid Day Spa, where I went every day for a massage and to be pampered and spoilt. Great place to unwind. The Manager there is lovely, and we could not find fault with anyone there, and the prices were excellent. Staff were always happy and greeted you with a smile, and the meals in the restaurant were great, plenty of variety and staff were very happy to order off the menu as well. They were able to help us with booking a driver to see the sights of East Bali as well as book in a fishing trip in a traditional Balinese boat. We visited in November in the low season, and had absolutely perfect weather the entire time. Now looking at when we can return.
