"This is an absolutely delightful property in an amazing location, with unbeatable views. It is well furnished and comfortable and has a great garden with abundant furniture and is situated in truly beautiful countryside and a charming village, with two acceptable pubs.There is a lovely circular walk to the equally pretty village of Rockliffe from which you can swim and in the nearby town of Castle Douglas there are very good food shops and a first class restaurants, Mr Pooks. "I wouid recommend this property but would make sure other guests jnow there is nothing within walking distance and a car is needed to get ro the nearest pub/supermarket. The property was lovely but the blinds needed dusting, there were dirty towels in the washing machine and the laminate on the tables was taped up."

"Good property in a great location, excellent grounds and access to the beach which the dogs loved. Good quality kitchen , just missing a small welcome pack which we normally have when we go for a cottage stay, its always useful. Bedrooms were a bit basic and didn’t like not having a full shower, some small details need to be looked at, curtains in lounge with mis- matched or broken curtain rings. Overall we had a great stay in a lovely part of Scotland."

"Property just as described. Slight problem on Christmas Day, but this was responded to immediately. It needed to reset the fire alarm but was resolved quickly. However, there was a "bleep" sound from the control box in the hall after this, which was very close to the pillow of the lower bunk where our son slept. His sleep was interrupted, but otherwise all went as planned. Many thanks Steve Sedwell"

"I took my Mum, 2 Aunts (all in their eighties) and Pep the dog to this lovely house for a week of relaxation and togetherness. It was perfect ! The accommodation (especially the sun room and living room) were great for sitting and looking over the trees and rooftops to the bay...spacious and cosy at the same time. Rockcliffe is beautiful. The house a great walk for me and the pooch to the beach ,through the woods and over the rocks. Lots of places to visit around and about...something for...
