    rolling bar, kitchenette, pool table, ping pong table, foosball, smart TV, couch, large refrigerator, microwave, additional seating areas! Lots of dishes bowls and glassware!

    HOME OF THE GRAND MADISON LAKE PADDLE FISH
    State of Minnesota issued a seizure permit #202888 for us to be able to keep the skull and a replica of the fish. This skeleton of a paddle fish washed up on Madison Lake beach in 1989. From this skeleton the folks at Shedd Aquarium in Chicago and the Missouri Game and Fish department provided their best estimate of weight over 100 lbs, length 68 inches, and age approximately 35 years old. Paddle fish are plankton eaters with no teeth and are harmless to humans and illegal to catch in Minnesota.

    Lots of off street parking for all your water toys! 150 lineal feet of sandy beach with over hanging willow trees to hold the pan fish close for shore fishing. We are in the process of building a sand box for when the water levels are high and our beach is under water. Our fish cleaning shed with screens, light, and water as well as a space to keep your gear locked up over night (bring your own padlock) is now finished! We have two boating docks available! The boat ramp is a short drive around the bay to the south. For our fellow artists we have set up a bright classroom area facing Madison Lake. It has 12 desks with easels and brush holders, drawing boards, and a grand instructors oak easel, storage cabinet, extra folding chairs and stools all looking toward the lake. Ideal for sleepovers or just an evening of wine and cheese paint parties! Great as an extra option for more sleeping space when renting our Log Inn #HA9246925 two parcels away which sleeps 24 and has plenty of extra social spaces! Scrapbookers welcomed!

Perfect for a family stay

We rented this property and the Log Inn for a family stay and had a wonderful time painting, enjoying the lake on a pontoon boat from a local rental place, and just taking in the beautiful lawn.

Madison Lake

We had a wonderful family reunion here. The lake was amazing. Loved seeing the swans and geese swim. The house was comfortable with a well stocked kitchen! We would definitely stay again.

Daughter’s college graduation weekend

Weekend on Madison Lake

We enjoyed the comfortable stay on Madison Lake. While it was too cool for enjoying the lake, we had plenty of entertainment and enjoyed the game room for a quick family get together. Very comfortable home and Jerry and Dorothy were gracious hosts.

We only stayed for 2 nights but everybody enjoyed the stay, especially the kids. There was a lot to do and entertainment for kids. The have pool table, ping pong table, lots of puzzles, card games, and more, plus a huge tv. The kitchen had everything we needed. The view was wonderful. And most of all, Dorothy was great, very responsive and even came over to say Hi. We definitely will recommend this place. It's ***** for us!!!

Memorial Day Weekend Getaway

Great weekend away. House is extremely clean and perfect for multiple family rental. Kids enjoyed painting, paddle boating and swimming. Beautiful views of the lake from living room. Dorothy and Jerry treated us as family since the second we booked.

Staying here is a no-brainer!

Dorothy and Jerry's place was PERFECT to stay while we were in town for our daughter's wedding. It was SO GREAT to have all the family in one house and still have enough beds and bedrooms for all to have their own space at the same time. You can't go wrong if you stay here!!

A fun. Cabin experience

many different spaces. The amenities were fun. The place was a bit dated but really didnt matter. Good tvs too. Beds comfy, place is clean and well stocked. Toys for the kids!Great communications with owner. Only thing was there wasn't any available paper for drawing but we made do! Great fishing for our fisher people. THank you!

Beautiful and secluded. Lots of space for activities. The beds exceeded expectations, towels for showers were plentiful. Private parking lot accommodated our six vehicles without issue. The kitchen was fully furnished. We did not need the additional kitchen tools that we brought ourselves.

Great family home

The 7 of us enjoyed some great family tome. Something for all of us from 13 - 68 years old. We all enjoyed the large game room. The kayaks were a hit with the younger ones. Very well stocked with everything we needed. The hosts were great.

Enjoyable stay!

We had a great time at Artists and Anglers Inn! The house/property could use a few upgrades and finishing touches to improve the stay but we were comfortable in the home. The home is well equipped for cooking and with all kinds of dishes. The lake is a long way down a fairly steep hill so guests with any mobility issues will have a hard time getting there and back.

Great house with everything you need

We loved our stay. The house is so roomy. A huge Game room made for lots of family fun! The lower level is an adorable suite, and the upper level has the best sun room ever to enjoy your morning coffee. The owner was very responsive to questions. The kitchen has not missed a single detail. Everything you can possibly ask for is there to use. Thank you so much!

Perfect family house

We picked this house for its proximity to my daughter’s college as, she was graduating. We wanted a place for everyone to stay that had not just location but, activities and amenities. The added bonuses are Dorothy and Jerry! With them you want and need for nothing. Don’t hesitate to book this property you will not regret it, my family enjoyed our time here!!!

Great Family Time

Our family enjoyed our week at Artists & Anglers. There were eight of us with plenty of room for everyone. The game room was great for those times when everyone was inside and doing various activities. The kitchen had everything we needed. The hill to the lake was okay for our party, but for anyone who has mobility issues, it would be a challenge to go up and down, if you wanted to get to the lake. There was plenty to do!

Family Reunion gathering

We had a wonderful time in our short stay at Artists and Anglers - we all wished we had more time to really enjoy the lake, the amazing game room and all the other amenities! The house was lovely, clean and comfortable. And the hosts had the kitchen stocked with snacks and beverages - an unexpected and appreciated extra touch! The amenities were as listed and more, the fall colors were beautiful, the hosts were easy to communicate with and friendly — everything was 5 stars! We will be back next fall if Artists and Anglers is available!
