Colina Cottage - Your Little Pocket of Paradise

Tucked just south of Mt Lyford Village, Colina Cottage is the perfect place to slow down, breathe in the crisp country air, and reconnect with nature. This charming wee retreat offers all the comforts of home, surrounded by idyllic scenery and an abundance of wildlife.

Inside, you’ll find everything you need for a peaceful stay. The fully equipped kitchen is ready for you to whip up your favourite meals, and the bathroom includes a shower, toilet, basin, and washing machine for your convenience. The cosy bedroom features a comfortable queen-sized bed – ideal for long, restful nights after a day of exploring.

The spacious lounge is a guest favourite, with a large window that looks out over the pond and towards the majestic Mt Lyford. Curl up on the couch with a good book, or simply sit back and watch the ducks, bellbirds, and moreporks as they go about their day.

Please note:
- Colina Cottage is located on a working property, so please take care around vehicles and avoid entering fenced or private areas such as paddocks or sheds.

- Expect to be greeted by plenty of friendly wildlife – from Australian coots and ducks to the occasional heron. In the evenings, you might even spot the eels in the pond coming up for a feed!

- Guests are welcome to wander around the ponds, but please be respectful of the owners’ privacy. Don’t hesitate to say hello if you see us out and about – we love meeting our guests!

- You may spot our two friendly resident dogs during your stay — they love to say hello!
Tess, our playful border collie, has plenty of energy and a fondness for chasing cars, while Diesel, our easygoing chocolate lab, has an excellent nose for food (so best not to leave any treats unattended!).
We do our best to make sure they don’t bother you, but if they pop by for a quick greeting, just know they’re harmless and always happy to make new friends.
