I would like to preface this by saying we did not reach out to the host about anything I will report below. So, it's not like we had issues, reported them, and then they were ignored. The host was very communicative.I think just a little bit of time and care would improve this place quite a bit. Immediately, we noticed that the house was along a main road with cars passing really fast, which was reported in other reviews, but not really detailed in the pictures. The house was relatively clean; clean towels, clean beds, bedding, and it was tidy. However, there were tons of stains on the carpet (no smell at all though, just a bit unpleasant to look at). There were several fruit flies or gnats on the window of the door of the office/side room area off of the deck/patio entrance. At first, they weren't a bother, staying mainly in that room, but as the week went on, they started to fly into other parts of the house. And I noticed another batch of them in en suite off the main bedroom upstairs. The patio set outside on the deck was very rusted, to the point where we had to brush rust off our clothes after sitting there. We were also a bit disappointed that there was no table salt and no foil (or anything else to cover/store food). The place wasn't bad, but for the amount of money we paid to stay, I would have hoped for better. As I said, a little bit of TLC (carpet cleaning, updating some furniture, and slight investment of some basic supplies) would go a long way.
