This was a perfect stay at an enchanting, peaceful, beautiful guest house & absolutely amazing hosts!! It is close to everything, but feels like a rustic country retreat in Europe and very healing. Relaxing in the ozone stone hot tub every night was divine & a bit mind-blowing in that full moon under a huge lemon tree! The hosts give you space, but are very caring and go out of their way when anything is needed. Great shower, beautifully decorated & the fanciest tea pot I have ever seen. It had every ammendity anyone could want. We are so glad we stayed here & will be back!! Thank you Beth & Milo!!

Charming

Charming place to stay with a rustic feel. Beds were very comfortable. Hosts were communicative and available to answer questions & provide recommendations. Didn’t get a chance to use the pool or jacuzzi unfortunately as my stay was too short. Would stay here again.

Not enough privacy

My daughter and I planned to stay for a weekend in LA to check out colleges prior to heading up the coast. Unfortunately, we left after one night because we were uncomfortable with the lack of privacy. Milo spent about 45 minutes orienting us to the room. After we brought our bags in, I closed the gate between the listing and the main house. Milo became very upset, rushing back into the studio telling us why it must stay open for zoning issues with the city.While we knew the listing was on property, we did not realize it would feel like a fishbowl with direct views from the main house. Although the neighborhood seemed safe and the location was great, we both felt very unsettled and left before 7am the next day, checking into a hotel for our second night. This is the first VRBO I have had to leave early. and it was a disappointing (qnd expensive) experience overall. I did not bother requesting a refund.

Not what advertised

This is the first time I’ve felt compelled to write a poor review but it’s necessary here. They need to do better, especially for the price point. It’s completely absurd. The place is dirty, run-down, and small. The pictures are false advertising. The pool was green, dirty, and unusable. It should not be advertised as being comfortably fitting four people. It’s basically a small room and does not even have a proper divider between beds that are mere feet apart. But the primary issue was the owner. Milo said he was having financial issues. He would constantly watch through transparent glass of his nearby house, talk endlessly whenever we came or went,and remain hovering every time we were there. He continually talked whenever nearby. He made the whole experience uncomfortable. And then he said it was a shame we were not leaving earlier than the 11 am checkout time because he had another family come to clean it up. He claimed to not know what time check out was and rambled on about how it was inconvenient that we were staying until checkout time we paid for. He was just always there and made the experience unpleasant. No privacy. Not recommended.

Super nice cottage

This is a special place to stay for a short visit in LA or for a vacation. All confort inside, and a "spoiling" confort outside, in the nicely arranged garden. Our stay was too short to get advantage of the garden but still spent some time outside. Milo, the host, was very helpful and gave us all assistance one might needs in a foreign town. Just go there and you'll simply love the placespeial spevial "spiling""

I love this Cottage! I will definitely be back as I am a regular visitor to Los Angeles. Beth & Milo were wonderful hosts and the place was absolutely spotless. I felt very safe and at home.

Humble Cottage on the Westside

Upon our arrival after a long journey, Milo warmly welcomed us and gave us a comprehensive tour of the rental cottage and its amenities. Every day, as we bid farewell, Milo offered valuable advice on exploring Los Angeles. Upon our return, we felt like we had stepped back into our own home.However, our biggest disappointment was the state of the property. Despite the high cleaning fee we had paid at the time of booking, we had high expectations for cleanliness. The pervasive dust, both floating and settled in corners of furniture, made our daily tasks, such as changing bedding sheets and lowering curtains, a chore. To add to the discomfort, the property was infested with spiders and their webs, hanging in corners or accumulating on light fixtures. One particularly alarming incident involved a large spider crawling on one of the beds.Another area that fell short of our expectations was the kitchenette. Shelving, the wooden cutting board, pots, pans, and dishes were covered in caked-on debris and grease, making food preparation unpleasant. On our first night, we had to purchase cleaning supplies to make the kitchen usable.The restroom, like the rest of the property, was in a state of disarray. It featured exposed copper piping that made showering uncomfortable alongside a numerous amount of spiders.In hindsight, if we had raised the issue during our stay, the accumulated dust would have posed a greater health risk if it had been addressed promptly.

Not as advertised overated

The property did not live up to the picture portrayal. It’s old and dated and the shower is awful. I asked for a refund and was denied. Checked into a hotel The pool was dirty and the surrounding area of the house unkept.Would give it zero stars rather go to a hotel.Dont waste you money on this property you can’t putlipstick on a pig . Picture over sell not as advertised
