The unique part about this area of Malibu is that everything is very close by! World class restaurants and several modestly priced cafes, Malibu Fitness Center, surfing lessons and rentals, kayak and diving rentals, charter a fishing or sailboat, trendy local stores for shopping and experiencing the flavor of Malibu. Enjoy the numerous hiking and biking trails in the Malibu/Santa Monica Mountains. There is a large private deck for relaxing & outdoor dining, master bedroom, Jacuzzi tub, granite counters & stainless steel appliances and garage parking accent this comfortable rental. HD Flat Screen TV's in the living room and master bedroom, BluRay and stereo system with an IPod connection. Fully equipped with a barbecue, gas range, microwave, refrigerator, washer/dryer, linens and all essentials for cooking & dining. Fireplace pictured is for decoration purposes only (not operational).

Steps to a dry sandy beach with an outdoor shower for washing off the sand. When you are not on the beach, you can enjoy the two flat screen HD TVs, Blu-Ray, stereo with IPod connection, CD player and Wi-Fi.

Malibu Beaches: Enjoy the beautiful beaches of Malibu. This unit is on the sand with panoramic views of the ocean and the Queens Necklace of the Santa Monica bay. It is next too world famous Surfrider Beach with a amazing view of the Malibu Pier.

We are pet friendly and there is a pet fee.

Malibu get away

We loved the place it was such a great location to be right basically on the ocean! Only complaint was the bath tub I am 5ft tall and had to climb over the side of the tub to get in the shower! Other than that place was clean and location was great! We loved walking to the Malibu pier !

Wonderful retreat

All about location

The location was 5 star, but the property itself was very underwhelming… Not very clean, furniture was worn out, uncomfortable beds, smaller than expected (doesn’t fit 6 comfortably), outside smelled like cat urine. But again, the location was fabulous.

Location Location Location!

Ideal location for first time to Malibu! Great dining options within 5 min walk to the pier. Malibu Farms offered healthy options with indoor and outdoor seating (great view of the surfers) - a welcomed surprise! Other restaurants within walking. Pepperdine University is a 5 min drive down the street - beautiful campus with Sunday morning church service. An occasional dolphin and sea lion was spotted off our balcony and many surfers to watch near the pier. Would highly recommend.

Very Old

The condo floors were very dirty, pots and pans were horrible, stove top burners did not work. Floor Tiles were cracked and older people can not get into the bathtub because it is way too high. Sleep 6 but they only have 4 chairs.

It just doesn't get any better than this. Great views of Malibu Pier, the pacific, waves rolling under the deck. They did a great job with the interior as it's light and bright. Angel was there to great us and provide clickers for the garage and the gate. Succulents all over the property. Would stay here again for sure. Jeff

amazing location

This property is right on the ocean and the waves break loudly (good thing for me) and the water literally flows under the property. We kept the sliding doors open at night and the surf allowed us to sleep very well. The place has not been updated, the bed's mattress is not great, and there is no dishwasher. Otherwise, I recommend this property.

The Dolphin - Malibu

The Dolphin was just as advertised, just as expected. A bright welcoming and comfortable interior matched with a lustrous and breathtaking exterior right on the beach. Completely outfitted with everything you could need, it satisfied our "get away from home' needs so well. Great communication with the host, so kind and friendly. We can't wait to return there again someday soon. A++++

Great location or great experience

This place was amazing and wonderful to stay at. I would definitely stay and recommend someone staying there. It was my girlfriend, son and a friend for the 3 beds and worked out perfectly. Wifi worked great and the ocean breeze and sounds were wonderful. The metal was a bit rusted in spots, but expected being on the ocean. The maintenance gentleman introduced himself and offered help where needed. Only drawback / complaint would be that the listing calls out quite/dark hours and I fully expected to comply, however, my son caught food poisoning one night and we were yelled at about quite hours, although after my response, some consideration was given. I get it, since the person lived in an apartment on the top floor probably full time as a renter or the owner, I had to take him to the hospital, so there was that. not fun. The other units are pretty close as well, so I get the consideration.

Beautiful Views

Has an absolutely wonderful stay. Beautiful views, nice balcony to enjoy eating and relaxing on and walking distance to restaurants and pier. Loved hearing the waves. Check in and check out process was very easy. Would definitely recommend!

Fantastic location!

The shower is only accessible by climbing over a three foot high and two foot wide rampart, which seems like a lawsuit waiting to happen and was pretty difficult to access. Anyone older or with any mobility problems should be aware of this. Besides that, this place is A+++! The owner and property manager are friendly and extremely helpful, and you're RIGHT on the water (which is why you are here!)- it's easily accessible and a beautiful walk. We'll definitely stay here again!

Great spot!

We had a great stay at this location. There where 4 of us, including 2 teens and we had plenty of space. Lots of kitchen items for cooking and dining as well as plenty of choice for eating out. The property is right on the beach and the waves do come right in, we loved it! Saw dolphins and sealions daily. Very easy access onto the beach, boys enjoyed surfing and we enjoyed morning walks on the beach with our coffee. Great sized balcony to enjoy the views. We would come back!

Fantastic experience

My parents, and I stayed here with my 2 dogs & loved every moment of it :) You cannot get closer to the water/beach front vacation than this. You hear the waves and seagulls, and have the most magnificent view. It is located close to great restaurants, the Adamson House, and Whole Foods. We just left our car in the parking on the property, and walked everywhere. We cannot wait to return again! The only thing I would add is a step stool for getting into the shower. I believe due to the tub being a jacuzzi they had to make it higher, so it’s a climb to get in. People with back and hip issues would probably have a hard time, so a step stool would help. Thank you beyond measures (Mr. Angel was always accessible & wonderful)

Pros and Cons

We had a fantastic time and we would definitely stay again. I feel like the cons I mention aren’t really that big of a deal and they are common in beach front properties. PROS: Price is awesome. You won’t find anything this amazing on the beach for the price. Location is nice Owner and staff are friendly Secure and convenient parking Private beach with tide pools in your backyard. We found hundreds of hermit crabs, little fish, some starfish, and some other wild life such as seals and dolphins. A seal came up to our balcony and talked to us. CONS: Ants in the bathroom (I saw about 10-15 ants randomly scattered) common in beach front properties. Sand fleas, also common but a bit of a nuisance and scary thought that they can burrow into your skin and live for 4-6 weeks in your skin. But they are common in beaches in California, they are nearly everywhere. So it’s not a big deal and they are only outside. Electrical problems: we had the heater, tvs, and lights go out a few times while we were there due to the breaker being tripped. Dated building: the building was built quite some time ago so it’s understandable it is a bit dated and worn. I didn’t mind this but I know some snobby people might be appalled at the site of rust and warped wood from the wet ocean air. To sum things up there were some minor cosmetic issues and the issues with the power but it was a fantastic home and I would love to stay there again.

Always one of our favorite places to relax

Angel, the property manager, will take great care of you. this beach house is perfect - nothing fancy but everything you need to just relax. It's nearby many great restaurants and the grocery store is five minutes away. We've stayed here a few times now and will keep coming back. Our favorite part is "coffee with the dolphins" every morning1

Malibu Vacation

The location and price are hard to beat. We visit Malibu once a year and always rent a beach condo. This time we had our entire family (6 people & a small elderly dog) so we were excited to find a pet friendly rental right on the beach that slept 6. We were disappointed that we were notified only a couple of hours before check in that our dog would not be allowed to stay in the rental for short periods of time if we were not there so we had to frantically search and pay for dog sitters who could come to the condo to sit with her while we went to reservations. The listing is advertised as dog friendly but doesn’t mention anywhere that you must be with your dog 24/7. When trying to resolve this with the management company they recommended we leave our dog in the car which is very dangerous. The management company also refused to take our phone calls and said they only communicated through VRBO messages but took 3 days and multiple messages before I received a response. The rental itself was as expected based off of pictures & price. The views are beautiful, the space is a bit outdated especially the shower/tub and we did have an issue with finding ants in the bathroom, linen closet & living room. Not sure if it was due to time of year but we saw quite a few throughout our stay. Overall I would rent here again because of the central location, ocean views & price but would hope they would fix their pet friendly description, ant problem & improve communication.
