Disappointing Stay at La Quinta by Wyndham I-20 Longview South
I recently stayed at this hotel in Longview, TX, and unfortunately, the experience was not great. Upon entering the room, there was an unpleasant odor that didn’t go away. Our reservation was for three people, but no extra blankets were provided for the sofa bed. When I requested some, both blankets given to us had hair all over them.
The breakfast was underwhelming. The potatoes were undercooked, the eggs had an artificial taste (likely powdered), and there were no meat options at all. Definitely not what I’d expect from a hotel breakfast.
Security was also a concern. The front doors are locked at night, and guests are required to use side entrances, which didn’t feel safe, especially in the dark.
On a positive note, the daytime front desk female staff member was friendly and helpful. However, the overnight receptionist was not as welcoming.
While the location is convenient right off the freeway, overall, the stay did not meet expectations.
I asked for management to contact me since they were not there but they never called me.
