What is disappointing with this newly renovated hotel is how thin the walls are or not soundproofed. You can hear neighbouring rooms’ doors closing, full on conversation, and worse is the kids’ screaming, thumping/banging that causes vibration too and gives you headache/interrupted sleep beyond 12midnight and also wakes up your 13yo worried with all the noise.
They have a printout in their 1 out of 2 functioning elevator for quiet hours from 10pm-7am in their general common area. Which I think should be more stressed (similar to Great Wolf Lodge) considering their lack of soundproofing. But regardless, you’d be so unfortunate if you’re neighbouring indecent people as no hotel can’t really control what goes on inside the rooms of course. And if you’re the parent of kids who are demolishing beyond midnight, know that you are in a hotel and not in a farm in the middle of nowhere - train or get a hold of your kids.
Ofherwise:Room is clean, good space and design function. Toiletries provided were Dove brand which our family, even my husband liked - we might start buying it instead.
Staff is ok. Allowed for late check out during in person check in. However our key card stopped working at 10:49am and we’re told cause it’s already check out time when its not even 11am yet.
Amenities: Family enjoyed the pool despite being small. Its across a plaza with Walmart, Canadian Tire, McD and other restaurant chains.
