"Comfortable stay the night before the Bala swim. Service at evening meal was excellent. Breakfast service Terrible as only 1 member of staff at start of breakfast. Long wait until more staff arrived. Most of us needed feeding before the swim & a few left even though it was included. "

"Borthwen b&b is a fantastic place to stay. Colin and Lisa were such kind and caring hosts and nothing was too much trouble. It was my partners birthday and they even put a birthday candle on his breakfast, he was thrilled to bits! The b&b was spotless, quiet and very comfortable, and the view from there is spectacular. The room was spacious and beautifully decorated. The breakfast was probably the best I've ever had and they were able to provide me a vegetarian option which was much appreciated....

"Nice old hotel right in the centre of Bala. Secure off road parking behind hotel for my motorbike. Not much choice of ales. Room was spacious, clean and comfortable. I didn’t try the food as I thought I would mix it up a bit and have breakfast over the road in ‘Hoffi Coffi’ … if you find being served a soup like offering as a cooked breakfast entertaining (tinned tomatoes, beans and a price of bacon and egg swimming around in there) then be my guest and go on in and fill your boots up! "This is a nice comfy hotel. We stayed bed and breakfast, which was cooked really nice . The staff are lovely, helpful and friendly. It maybe a little old fashioned but it was a really nice and comfortable along with being good value for money, and we will definitely be back."
