"A beautiful, well-maintained old (17C) building, complemented by the warm welcome from co-owner Elvira. We didn't meet her husband, but he was clearly hard at work in the kitchen. The breakfast was excellent, and the rooms comfortable. The rooms felt quite opulent, with large mirrors, stained glass, pretty décor, a well-stocked ensuite bathroom, and deep beds. We slept and ate well!"

"Location was lovely and country house such a lovely well kept and interesting place. Accommodation was excellent as was breakfast and dinner. Owners very hospitable and helpful. Good all round experience. Would definitely recommend and revisit. "

"Close to hospital as needed to be near to very sick relative to reduce travel time from home. Beautiful building and garden area. Didn’t use all facilities as was only there in an emergency situation not a holiday! The cleanliness could be improved. Cups in room unwashed/ mould in bathroom walls. Security could be an issue as fire door found to be wedged open by a brick last night on our return late at night? "

"The room was very spacious and comfortable. The property is old (steeped in history) but the room had all the features we needed. The instructions were excellent and the owners were incredibly responsive and helpful. The bed was a little creaky and the pillows were a little thin/soft for my preferences, but perfectly comfortable and adequate. Great value for money. Great location. Highly recommend the breakfast!! A great stay - would stay again. "

"It was clean,food was very good, breakfast was wonderful. However because there was no house keeping,we didn't have clean towels for 4 days,and the coffee/tea in the room was not replenished."

"A little tucked away - so be aware not to drive by it quickly on the A55. Staff were excellent and the Burger King next door was great - the food was yummy (better than other BK's I've been too). Ideal location for onward trips to North Wales"

"The hotel is okay what I would expect for 3 star a little rough around the edges. It was an overnight visit. Few downsides, the windows were impossible to open (unless you about 7ft tall…) and the room became stuffy very quickly. If you do open them make sure it’s at the right angle in case of rain! Thin walls and if someone happens to be smoking something very pungent nearby expect the scent to join you in the room - easily solved with allowing the vents to be closed or better sealant around...
