The shepherd’s hut at Wild Meadow Camping offers a charming and understated escape, designed for those seeking simplicity, comfort, and a slower pace of life. As the site’s first glamping addition, it has a quaint, rustic character that blends naturally with the surrounding meadow. Inside, the space is thoughtfully arranged to maximise comfort without losing its cosy feel, featuring a double bed alongside bunk beds, making it suitable for couples or small families.

A small kitchenette with kettle and toaster provides the essentials for preparing light meals, allowing guests to enjoy a self-catered stay while remaining immersed in nature. The hut’s interior balances practicality with warmth, creating a welcoming environment after a day spent outdoors. Its design encourages guests to disconnect from busy routines and embrace a more relaxed, mindful experience.

Outside, the shepherd’s hut benefits from its own private area, complete with seating where guests can unwind and take in the peaceful meadow setting. This personal outdoor space enhances the sense of seclusion, offering a quiet spot to enjoy morning coffee, evening sunsets, or simply the sounds of nature. The overall experience is intentionally simple—guests are encouraged to bring little more than a sense of adventure and an appreciation for the countryside.

The hut’s setting within the wild meadow adds to its appeal, surrounded by open skies, natural beauty, and a calm atmosphere that feels far removed from urban life. Our modern shower block offers that little bit of comfort so rarely found on campsites, with two well appointed shower rooms and two toilets to accommodate our campers needs. There is also a large external sink for washing up, and a freezer for food storage.

Located in Plwmp, Ceredigion, the site sits just four miles from the Welsh coastline, ideally positioned between New Quay and Llangrannog. This makes it perfect for exploring sandy beaches, coastal paths, and picturesque seaside villages. The surrounding countryside offers rolling hills, scenic walks, and abundant wildlife, while the nearby coast provides opportunities for dolphin spotting and waterside relaxation. Combining rural tranquillity with easy access to the sea, the location offers a balanced escape where guests can enjoy both inland calm and coastal adventure
