"Brilliant stay, the staff and the owner were great very homey and warm atmosphere. Very kindly made me an early breakfast each day as I had to be up for a training course. Rooms were clean tidy and brilliantly sound proofed as I heard nothing from the bar downstairs. Great little place would highly recommend."

"The club room was colourful, clean, spacious with a powerful shower, comfortable bed and enough to get around. Seemed a pretty quiet hotel but we stayed on a Sunday evening. No fan or air conditioning in room but we stayed cool. The pool/spa and gym were fantastic with us being able to get a locker for free. "I was going to visit the Brecon Mountain Railway and I needed somewhere close by to stay for the night. Luckily, I chose the Butchers Arms. The room was lovely and clean and the bed very comfortable. The food was filling and tasty and I had breakfast looking across to the start of the Brecon Beacons. The beer was wonderful especially the Butty Bach (little friend in Welsh). "
