"Comfortable bed"

"All of the staff were extremely helpful. They have free valet parking as well as self parking. Front desk staff were very attentive, courteous & helpful. Our room was spacious, clean had a large bathroom w/walk-in shower with all the necessary amenities. Casino floor was well maintained with lots of slot machines to choose from, they even had some of my favorite machines!!!!! Restaurants & Coffee shop make this a very comfortable stay. We really enjoyed ourselves & will definitely return!!"

"We have stayed at the Cook for camp five summers now. This is the first time I saw service levels lowered. The staff are great but this year we didn’t have room cleaning, towel service or trash removed for the four nights we stayed. "Hotel is conveniently located off of I10 but situated in an odd isolated spot behind an Outback restaurant and a multistory office building that share private roads and parking areas run into one another. Very confusing to navigate initially. The room was clean, quiet and comfortable. Only a single small elevator to get to rooms so proved to be inconvenient when trying to leave hotel with baggage; only room enough for one or two guests with baggage. "Let’s start with the shower. The very first night we had to shower at my mom’s house because the shower basically flooded the bathroom. Next, I’m assuming that I should have brought my own towels given the fact that they only provided a total of 6 (2 wash cloths, 2 hand towels and 2 big towels) for 4 people staying for 4 nights. Also, the room did not have a microwave, no table and chairs (I’m assuming we were supposed to sit in the floor to eat), and the beds were very small and uncomfortable....

"I like that the property and my room was clean. Other than that, I was very disappointed in my stay. There was no hen soap to be found anywhere, we were told that they would have to get it from the Residence Inn across the street and the mattresses were terrible. They were lopsided. You can tell where a person had been sleeping. One side was up and 1 side was down, and I've stayed at Marriott lots of time, and I have never, ever experienced this before. "We enjoy the cottages here. It’s convenient for us when we visit my college kid. Check in is easy, casino is nearby, cottages are clean, close to plenty of dining and shopping. Just note to self next time to bring an iron if you are one to iron your clothes. I guess RV goers may bring their own, makes sense. I think this will be a go to place if we don’t want the hotels stays. Maybe next time…we can actually bring our camper."
