"The view was great but the lake was frozen so a little different I think than if it was summer. Was cool seeing people drifting on the frozen lake though. Rooms were great, good sizes, awesome large main bedroom, noise from the living does carry upstairs as there is no door to separate it. I thought downstairs had a bigger living room of it own, so was not expecting that, but it worked out just fine. Open living, dining, kitchen was great for everyone hanging out."

"We really loved this place! It was just right for our big family during the new years! The location was amazing and views were spectacular! Just right by Ghost Lake!

"He photos are misleading - one feels they are renting a beautiful retreat.
It isn’t.
The cottage is run down, with a large burn on the dining room table, holes in the sitting room ottoman, and a worn out couch that we all found incredibly uncomfortable. Lack of comfortable seating was the worst part of the stay - either one sits on the worn out couch, or the hard dining room table chairs.
The interior was filled with flies - they keep landing on our heads and food. The owner’s acknowledged...

"Decided on this property as the price was more manageable than Banff town or Canmore. Cochrane is a cute, small town about 40 min from downtown Calgary and 1.5hrs from Banff/Cannmore. Property was clean and hosts were kind. Only downside is the sound bleed from upstairs—the patter of cats & noise from humans/vaccuums—likely unavoidable given construction of the house. This made it tricky to fall asleep at the start of each night, but eventually the house became quiet. Hosts are really nice and...
