"We had the best time at this adorable, rustic cabin with our family (5 adults, baby, dog). We loved being right on the water, the beautiful porch, best views of the lake, jumping off the dock to cool off and using the kayaks. The kitchen was well stocked, we BBQd every night. The sauna was a lovely surprise as I didn’t even realize they had one!Some small things could be improved on…the outdoor area needs some cleaning attention (lots of cobwebs, beach area cleanup etc). And the dock could...

"We had a fantastic stay at Pond & Fern. Paul and Kiersten (and Lexi, Juno, Buttons, and Buddy) are friendly, wonderful hosts. The room is comfortable and has all the essentials. The property is beautiful, peaceful, and a perfect home base for exploring the island. Thanks! "

"Amazing...a 3 star that is 5 star for nature lovers! Log cabins with kitchen and comfortable beds, real fire places with ample free dry wood topped up daily, view of the lake. 2 hot tubs and sauna, free access to plenty of canoes, kayaks and paddle boards any time you want, small but good size quiet lake with fish to catch, multiple docks with chairs and other access to swim. Eagles, deer etc all around. Suoer attentive and friendly staff on site. Office has tons of games and puzzles to use....

"This was exactly what we needed after a week of camping on our road trip - this place is so lovely, from the cabin itself (inside and out), to the big trees surrounding it, the pathway through the forest, the delicious breakfast and coffee, and of course the most relaxing bath/shower outside. Tara was so welcoming and was helpful highlighting spots around the island. Would highly recommend and we hope to visit again soon! "

"Clean, quite spacious and within 5 min walking distance to the lake. We had a pleasant stay, the outdoor patio space was a great bonus as we had most of our meals outside."

"Lovely property, we enjoyed our stay!"

"The room was spotless. The bed was very comfortable and the host was quite friendly. The ensuite washroom is small but adequate. The home is about 6 years old and in excellent condition. There is a limited number of accommodations on Gabriola Island and we were happy. We chose this one. There was an outdoor hot tub available however we didn’t use it. We would stay here again should we visit the island in the future "

"Sean was very quick to answer messages and pleasant to deal with. My family enjoyed the pool, pool side and billiards room. The kitchen was fully stocked, the beds were comfortable and the location of the home had easy access to everything we needed. I would stay here again. "

"Overall, the house was better than in the pictures. The house was very clean and had everything we needed for a 5 night stay. The private beach at the edge of the lake was beautiful, but what we didn’t anticipate was the 2 minute walk to the lake park with a dock, slide into the water, and diving board. Spent many days there were all kids and adults had a blast. 10 minute drive from lake cowichan town center made it easy to get groceries and got tubing down the river. "
