A very well located, clean and modern hotel. Could not fault the front of house staff, breakfast and bar staff for friendliness and efficiency.
Our one point of where things let the hotel down was in the restaurant service levels for an evening service. We knew we would have a short wait as we ordered the Suckling Pig which looked superb. The wait was a bit longer than we were told but we asked for some drinks and water for the table. The water did not arrive. When the food arrived it was served without the side salad dish that we had ordered. Both the water and salad was re-requested and arrived long after the main dish had been started. The accompanying dish to the pig was a bowl of plain crisps. It was a bit odd and certainly not the home made variety (thinly sliced and fried potatoes) that i had expected. There seemed to be a large party in the centre of the restaurant that took all of the waiters attention, and we witnessed two guests being seated, who ultimately got up and left after getting no attention and another who waited around 45 mins for a drink.
At the end of the meal we requested the bill which we duly paid with the waiter expressing a rather shy sorry as we settled up. The high standards experienced elsewhere in the hotel were certainly not met in our meal experience unfortunately.
That said I would certainly return to the hotel should I be going to Lisbon again because as a base for our stay it was great.
