Loved our stay, location was great and company was helpful and patient as we struggled with the lock (our error). The property was spacious for our family of four and separate bathrooms are necessary for us. View was wonderful and we could easily get everywhere we needed to quickly. There are notes about vehicles getting up there, which our taxi was fine to do. We also used Bolt lots of times as well and simply met them down the elevator outside the Pingo Doce. We truly loved our visit. The location and view made it perfect for our family.

The property was very nice and we were welcomed early which was very helpful. The view from the Terrace was exquisite. The only improvements we would recommend is to have the instructions for the appliances available, and ice cube trays and a wine opener available.

August 2024 Stay

We very much enjoyed our stay over six days during which friends also stayed for four days. The apartment is lovely and very well positioned to walk to most of the desirable areas of Lisbon. The view over the city towards Barro Alto is just superb and the neighbourhood is very quiet making for a relaxing time. Our stay was memorable in that on 26th August as we prepared to leave at 5am there was an earthquake that hit Lisbon of 5.3. The apartment withstood it well. We would certainly recommend this apartment and would return.

Positives + Good location with minimal traffic and big views + Lacks tech security but is secure + Spartan but adequate for 4 people + Convenient to castle and nearby shops and restaurants Negatives - Poorly provisioned - lacking cleaning supplies, toilet paper, soap, bottled water, ice and more. - Big view has a big house that blocks 30% of it and regular nearby construction noise - Hall bathroom sink was completely clogged - Inadequate towels and linens (cheap, threadbare) - No air conditioning, and the fans provided were inadequate. - Smaller bedroom was hot, stuffy, and dark. Very uncomfortable. - Mini outdoor courtyard to dry out wet laundry had foul smell - as did the stairwell to enter the apartment - It would have been a nice touch to have printed materials about the area (even local maps would have been helpful. Also provide information on medical clinic and pharmacy locations, how to get transportation assistance (e.g. which train station for which trains and costs), how to get a taxi. Overall - We made it work and enjoyed our stay in Lisbon, but the website oversold and misrepresented the quality and amenities of the property. It was an overpriced disappointment.

PLEASE READ BEFORE YOU BOOK!

My family and I stayed here in late June. We booked it primarily because of the views from the balcony, which are outstanding. However, we would probably not stay here again because the street is not accessible to cars most of the time. Nothing in the listing tells you this, and it should! The street is very long and the only access is on either end, but it's access controlled and cars can only go onto the street at certain times, and we could never figure out the whole process, nor could the host or any shop owners on the street explain it to us. So every time we needed to go somewhere or come back home, we usually had to walk to/from the end of the street. Taxis and Uber drivers kept dumping us at the end saying that they couldn't go any further because of the pole in the middle of the street (one driver got the pole to go down so he could drive us on to the door but none of the others knew how to do this). The walk from one end of the street (where we kept getting left by drivers) is a fairly long walk, mostly up hill, and the street is rough cobblestones. So not easy to walk on and if you are dragging luggage or have mobility issues, that is going to be very difficult. The apartment itself is nice. The furniture is not terribly comfortable except for the couch, but it's a nice place. It's located within a short walk of many shops and restaurants. And as I said, the balcony is wonderful! So just know about the access for cars before you book here.

Lovely stay

Property was as advertised in a quiet neighborhood up on the HILL. Beautiful view, clean, quiet space. The only issues were a lack of operating instructions for the stove (found on google) and the range hood (never found), also our street was closed to vehicle traffic on the Monday we were to depart. This was true of most of the streets on the hill. After driving for about an extra 30 minutes we managed to find the one street that was open and park about a half mile away. Lugging the baggage there was a bit of a chore. Had we known the above I would give 5 stars.

Incredible view!

We thoroughly enjoyed our time in this apartment. All communication was helpful and easy. Spectacular view from the large balcony. Location near the Costelo elevator was a bonus. Highly recommend!

Beautiful apartment, great location, great views

We loved our 6-night stay in this beautiful apartment. The terrace had amazing views by day and by night. The beds were comfortable, the bathrooms spacious. Everything was perfect except that the coffee machine stopped working after our second night, and the property managers didn’t fix it while we were there. It’s a small thing as everything else was better than expected.
