The holiday villa "Casa Do Mar" - Our house directly by the sea ... in the extraordinary region "Oeste". The unique, unobstructed view of the beautiful beaches of Areal and Areia Branca from almost all rooms and from the large roof terrace at the end of the row villa, is one of the special features that makes this villa so incomparable. The lounge on the roof terrace ..., a very special retreat! When closed windows front let the phenomenal view on itself, read a book in peace or enjoy a convivial round of wine. With the windows open, a shady spot on the roof terrace. Discover this space, see the beach and the sea. And the holiday begins. In addition to these beaches, which are characterized by their rough and almost untouched dune landscape, the view extends over the surrounding villages. The panoramic rooftop terrace is great for relaxing or for a shared pastime, and a comparable view of the sunsets from up here will be difficult to find anywhere in Portugal. The "Casa Do Mar" is located directly in front of a dune landscape, which is designated as protectet natural area. The climate is well-balanced, the sea breeze ensures that the heat can be well tolerated in the summer months.

Christmas in Lourinhã

Our family of 4 spent 4 nights at the beautiful casa that met all of our needs and more!Very friendly helpful check in! Loved the view and location to explore day trips and then return back in the evening to relax.Would definitely return!

Beautiful Property

The property is beautiful with amazing views. It was also very clean. Christina was very helpful in getting us familiar with the workings of the house. When we contacted her to ask that the pool be cleaned due to a big storm the night before, the pool cleaner was there very quickly, and the owner was very responsive to our questions. My only issue was the heating of the pool. I was assured when I made the reservation that the pool would be heated and agreed to pay extra since this was October. The description in VRBO clearly says "heated pool." However it was not heated when we arrived and was told it would be too expensive to heat and would take too long. The owner did say he would heat it if we wanted, but it might not be fully heated until near the end of our stay. If the pool had been heated when we arrived, as I was told it would be, this would not have been an issue. Also, a cover on the pool might make it less expensive to heat. Once again, the property is beautiful, but we were not able to enjoy all of the amenities.

Incredible Views

The house is situated at the end of the street in a nice neighborhood with similar style homes. Using Google maps, it was easy to find. Khristina was waiting for us, she was very pleasant and showed us the house and provided helpful tips on how to keep things working smoothly. The house is as pictured in the listing. The one room not shown is the kitchen, although small it also includes the washer and dryer. Very compact, but well designed to include all needed appliances, but counter space is lacking. Can’t have more than one person cooking. Also would have liked simple instructions on how to use the appliances, The rooms are large, comfortable and clean. The bed linens could be better, they are made from synthetic material, making sleeping a bit uncomfortable. We also had some issues with bathroom smells, were told that it depended on the wind direction. Khristina quickly provided pointers on how to deal with the issue, and it worked well. The pool was very cold and although a hot tub is listed, there was no hot tub. Getting to the beach from the house is a 15 min hike. We enjoyed the hike. But there was plenty of parking and a great boardwalk and restaurants should you drive to the beach. We were there in September, weather was warm, but often very windy, so on those days we’d head out on day trips. A car is a must, grocery stores are about 6 minute drive away and there are many attractions within an hours drive. Overall we very much enjoyed our stay.

Traumhaftes Ferienhaus mit unbezahlbaren Aussichten

Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Das Haus ist wirklich phantastisch- jedes Detail durchdacht- so z.B riesige Fensterfronten, elektrische Rollläden..tolle Betten - wir haben durchwegs sehr gut geschlafen- eine sehr gut ausgestattete Küche… und Vieles mehr. Wir wurden durch den Eigentümer perfekt betreut - auf Nachfragen - es fiel einmal kurz der Strom aus- wurde innerhalb kürzester Zeit reagiert. Der Weg zum Strand und zum kleinen Ort mit Restaurants und einem kleinen Supermarkt ist gut zu Fuß zu erledigen - größere Supermärkte (Intermarche, Lidl, Aldi) sind mit dem Auto ca. 5 Minuten entfernt. Insgesamt eine klare Weiterempfehlung - wir hatten schon viele Ferienhäuser, aber noch nie ein so toll ausgestattetes, in dem man sofort wohl fühlt und nicht mehr weg will.

Erholung garantiert

Wir haben einen tollen Urlaub genossen. Da meine Kinder schon alle außer Haus sind wollten wir nochmal alle gemeinsam Zeit verbringen und das Haus war für die 3 Generationen perfekt geeignet und bot viel Platz und somit Rückzugsmöglichkeiten für jeden. Das Wetter war für die Jahreszeit zwar nicht so schön wie Erhofft, aber dafür konnten wir dann auch den Luxus und Komfort des Hauses um so mehr genießen. Die Strandnähe mit der modernen Bar oder der etwas weiter aber dennoch Fußläufig zu erreichenden Strandpromenade waren ein Traum. Auch zu empfehlen ist der kleine Supermarkt im Dorf und ein Ausflug mit dem Katamaran von Peniche zur Insel Berlengas. Echt Sehenswert und Entspannung pur. Für Leute die Party & Action suchen ist das Haus jedoch etwas zu abgelegen. Vielen Dank nochmal an Stephan & Katja

Perfection!!

We just got back from a 4 day stay at this gorgeous house and the only thing wrong was that it wasn’t long enough!! The pictures don’t do it justice. The house is spotless with a well appointed kitchen and lots of space on the three levels to relax. The beds are comfortable as is the rest of the furniture. And the views are incredible. The housekeeper and host are amazing. Very easy to get in touch with and extremely helpful. We look forward to returning to Casa Do Mar soon! Thank you!!

Rooms with a view

We were so happy with our stay, the house was amazing and Stefan and Khristina were great and jumped on any concerns we had. They truly went above and beyond. Almost every room had a view of the ocean. The towns around the home had wonderful restaurants. If you didn't want to leave the paradise that is Lourinha you don't have to. But if you wanted to travel you can get to Porto in a couple hours and downtown Lisbon and/or Sintra in less than an hour. We wish we didn't have to leave!

Beautiful home

Our family (three sisters and husbands) really enjoyed our stay in Lourinha and this home worked out perfectly for us! Lots of extra rooms for people to have own space, several eating/dining areas and several outdoor deck areas. Well equipped, The views are amazing! Definitely would return! Communication with owner and property manager very good!

Traumhafter Urlaub

Als erstes einen riesigen Dank an Stefan für seine tolle Betreuung von Anfang an. Wir hatten noch nie so einen fürsorglich Vermieter und wir haben schon viele Wohnungen und Häuser gemietet. Das Haus ist genauso wie über Fewo beschrieben. Es lässt keine Wünsche offen. Wir wurden von Khristina freundlich empfangen und über alle technischen Details informiert. Das Haus ist liebevoll eingerichtet und sauber. Man hat wirklich von jedem Zimmer einen traumhaften Ausblick auf das Meer und die Umgebung. Unser Aufenthalt war vom 16.-30.09.23 und es war nicht immer ganz so warm vor allem der Wind, trotzdem fanden wir immer ein windgeschütztes Plätzchen oben auf der traumhaften Dachterrasse. Vom Haus aus haben wir viele schöne Ausflüge nach Lissabon und Umgebung unternommen. Lissabon ist immer eine Reise wert. Auch hier konnte uns Stefan tolle Tipps zur Gastronomie und Sehenswürdigkeiten geben. Unser Hausstrand der ca. 15 Min. Fußläufig entfernt war konnte mit dem Strand von Nazare sehr gut mithalten. Die Gewalt der Wellen die im Herbst und Winter das Surfen aus macht, konnte man schon sehr gut nachvollziehen. Dank Stefan, Khristina und Ivan hatten wir vier Freunde einen traumhaft schönen Urlaub in einem traumhaft schönen Haus.

Amazing Beach Home in Lourinha!

The property was just as it is listed, amazing. As a family of five with three little kids it was very nice to have so much space, a pool and with such a close walk to the beach. The sunrises and sunsets at truly wonderful and can be viewed on the top of this beach side home. Stefan was very welcoming and was always available if we needed anything. Casa do Mar will always have a place in our hearts. We will definitely be back to Lourinha!

Sehr schöne Unterkunft in super Lage mit Top Ausstattung!

Wir waren mit 2 Familien vor Ort und 3 Teenagern und konnten unseren Aufenthalt in vollen Zügen genießen. Das Haus ist wirklich super und die Ausstattung eine der besten die wir je hatten. In der Küche gibt es alles, sogar scharfe Messer. 😉😀. Ein kleiner Supermarkt ist in der Nähe und zum Strand kommt man in guten 10 Minuten über einen schönen Weg gut zu Fuß. Alles andere ist in ein paar Autominuten gut erreichbar. Der Vermieter ist super nett und man fühlt sich nicht als Mieter sondern als Gast!

Amazing villa with stunning views

We had a great week at Caso Do Mar, the villa itself is amazing and has some of the best views overlooking the Portuguese coastline. The rooms in the villa are all modern and comfortable and it literally has everything you could possibly need. Having its own pool is a great benefit and the outdoor spaces in general were out favourite part! We needed to use taxis to get into Lourinha as the villa is on top of a hill but you can walk down to the beach in less than 20 minutes which is great. The host Stefan was easily contactable and made us feel very welcome - we would certainly go back again!

Wunderschöne Villa mit unbezahlbarem Ausblick und tollen Gastgebern! Wir waren als 4- köpfige Familie 2 Wochen zu Gast im "Casa do Mar" und haben jeden Tag genossen. Vorab bestens via Telefonat/WhatsApp informiert durch die sehr aufmerksamen Gastgeber Stefan & Katja, vor Ort sehr nett begrüßt und betreut durch den Property Manager Ivan. Morgens mit dem unbeschreiblich schönen Ausblick aufwachen, frühstücken auf der Dachterrasse, tolle Tage am Strand und Pool und den Tag in den netten Restaurants/Clubs am Strand ausklingen lassen. Was will man mehr? Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und es war mit Sicherheit nicht unser letzter Urlaub in Portugal!

Ankommen, Wohlfühlen, Aussicht genießen oder mal eben zum Strand runter! Luxus&Front Row inklusive

Wir sind nach Lissabon geflogen, wo wir 24h Sightseeing und Nachtleben ausgekostet haben, um uns dann in einer absolute traumhaften Villa am Strand vom stressigen Alltag zu erholen. Stefan und seine Luxus-Villa machen es möglich. Er ist der perfekte Gastgeber und fragt auch noch nach dem Urlaub, ob alles ok war. Ein Gastgeber mit Herz und Leidenschaft, der definitiv möchte, dass man sich wohlfühlt und versteht wie Erholung geht. Mit dem Auto sind wir 50min von Lissabon nach Lourinha gefahren (angenehme Fahrt, man sieht viel Land/Leute). Dort angekommen, erwartet dich Ruhe und ein wahnsinnig schöner Ausblick aufs Meer - Stefan hat seine Villa in der absoluten Front-Row! Ivan (Property Manager) begrüßte uns super herzlich und hat ein "Willkommens-Bild" gemalt, was über dem Kamin hing - einfach herrlich! Die ersten Momente im Haus beschreibe ich so: ein wohlig warmes Gefühl, der Geruch einer leichten Meeresbrise, der Drang sich unmittelbar auszubreiten, einen Kaffee zu machen und sich in eins der gemütlichen Sofas zu werfen, um die wundrschöne Aussicht zu genießen. Die Villa ist sehr modern eingerichtet, warme und helle Farben, gemütliche und verschiedenste Sitzgelegenheiten, laden zum verweilen ein und man kann fast überall die farbelhafte Aussicht genießen. Die Küche ist top ausgestattet. Sehr bequeme Betten. Moderne Bäder. Alles ist sauber und gepfelgt. Wir können es uneingeschränkt empfehlen und würden jederzeit wieder kommen, auch für Workation super geeignet. Danke!
