"We loved our stay! The room was beautifully decorated, the bed a real king sized bed, the renovation thoughtful both in use of space and with beautiful old details left to shine. A plant filled courtyard and intimate breakfast room and lounge. Real glasses for enjoying the cold rosé. A beautiful stay. Add to that a bustling residential neighborhood just outside the tourist center, in the oldest building in Avignon and extremely welcoming hosts! Highly recommended"

"We had two rooms for a two night stay. The air conditioning in one room (46) was excellent, however the air conditioning in the second room (47) was minimal or not functioning. The front desk had a look and unlocked more controls on the thermostat but that didn’t make a difference. No other rooms available. The staff were friendly and tried their best with what they had. Something new to us at breakfast was the basket of eggs. I discovered after the fact that you have to cook them yourself....

"The property is a VRBO Style not a hotel. We had problems finding the place initially and had to call Pauline who was very helpful and came out so our Uber driver could get us to the property. Very nice pool and jacuzzi. Our room had a beautiful jetted jacuzzi tub and fancy steam shower. Location is very well situated and about 8 minute walk to the pope Palace and adjacent restaurants."

"Patrick was an incredible host. Attentive and had great recommendations on all aspects of being in Avignon - restaurants, getting around, sights to see, wine to try. The rooms were also outstanding - well put together and adorned with beautiful art. The courtyard was a highlight to relax away from the outside bustle."

"To be fair, this once elegant property is in a great location and the breakfast buffet & morning restaurant staff were excellent. Also, we were there in the middle of a severe heat wave, so staff and systems were strained to the max. Housekeeping staff were VERY NICE, but Front Desk - not so much. Our room's A/C fan was on maximum and it simply wasn't able to keep up. By Day2 of our stay, water began dripping from the ceiling steadily - we had to physically move our bed away from it. "This hotel was in a perfect location, very close to restaurants, shops and sight seeing. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and comfortable. The only thing we saw as a negative was the shower. While being very clean, lots of hot water etc. it is extremely slippery and I mean like an ice skating rink when wet. So, I caution hang on when stepping in and don't move around too much once inside."

Comfortable enough for one Person. Towels need to be replaced. They are grey and worn. However I would stay again due to its affordable price and excellent location."

"Charming hotel in the perfect location! Will dream of coming back! The view out of our window was the papal palace. The quietest hotel room I have ever stayed in even though it is city center. I am sure that was because of the cut stone walls. The breakfast buffet was good and worth the price. But there are plenty of dining options within easy walking. Our train was leaving later in the day so they were happy to hold our luggage after we checked out. Our stay really was perfect!"

"Tiny room, hugely inconvenient location. No taxi or Uber can get in. You have to walk at least ten minutes to catch a ride. Asked the front staff to order a taxi for me for my train trip. The taxi couldn't come on time and we ended missing our train and with that our first class ticket to Paris were completely wasted."
