The flat was nicely furnished and very comfortable. Heating by electric panel heaters was efficient and quick to warm the place. The kitchen was well equipped. There was a basket of cereal boxes, biscuits and a jar of sweets. There were also tea bag’s and coffee pods for the machine. The beds were very comfy. All in all a very welcoming and good place to stay. 4 stars not 5 because the heated towel rail didn’t work making the bathroom chilly ( a very cold weekend weather wise) and the WiFi although showing the usual blue bars would not connect whatever we all tried. To be fair, I notified the host about the towel rail but not the WiFi. When ever I contacted Phil the Host he was very quick to reply.

Easy check in using key safe. Accommodation generally looked clean and tidy on arrival. Very good range of equipment and nice decor. Great to have a dishwasher but remember to bring some tablets for it. Fridge is very small with only one main shelf so not great for a week’s stay.Oven does need a serious clean and some small areas of mold in bathroom window and shower need attention. Nice large modern bathroom. Mattresses/beds need replacing as springs broken in smaller bedroom and there are chipboards under mattress in main bedroom.We contacted the host about the towel rail not working. Said he would come and have a look but never turned up and have now seen previous posts that it had already been reported. Also reported WiFi going off after couple of days but nothing done so couldn’t use it. A new set of chopping knives are needed as current ones are blunt and useless.There is a smart TV in main bedroom which we would swap with the living room one which isn’t smart. Great location for walking into Lichfield. Quiet area and large supermarket nearby. Good to have allocated parking for one car. In general, very pleased with our stay but the above issues need attention.

Everything was great, all utensils supplied were very good, had everything we needed, very clean and comfortable.The only one thing I can say is that the towel rail in the bathroom didn’t work so it was always cold whilst having a shower.

It was further from the centre than advertised. Calling it Cathedral Apartment is misleading as it is at least a mile from the cathedral and there were no shops near to buy food.

The property is very nice, comfortable & quiet with an easy 20 min walk into town. However, on arrival we found the previous guest had left their bed linen folded on bed but cleaner had not been in to put clean linen on bed. Contact with Phil was less than helpful & there was no apology or resolution from him.Hopefully this was a one-off event as we have stayed before a couple of times & would consider returning.

Positives include the convenient situation of the flat and that issues, e.g. the missing towels & shower mat and blocked shower drain were quickly attended to. Overall, there are shortcomings in the description. Pleasant as it is, this flat is furnished and equipped minimally and should not be described as "luxury".The apartment looks good in the photos, but when you walk in, the shortcomings quickly become apparent: On opening the front door your are met with a steep flight of stairs, seemingly not mentioned on the website. There are no mirrors in the bedrooms; no bins in the bathroom or bedrooms; no chairs in the bedrooms. The fridge is v. small, with a tiny freezer compartment, and the door shelves not deep enough to take anything larger than a 1ltr bottle of milk.; the TV is not "smart" and the "garden" is a tiny patch of weedy white gravel. There is no visitors' book and insufficient seating for four, let alone 6. The beds are very soft, one having very prominent springs. One blind in the lounge was broken and another missing.On the plus side, the host was generally quick to respond to messages, but we found the brevity of responses unhelpful. There was confusion over the extra costings relating to "additional adults" and some very strange maths. Check-in details were very sketchy sent at 5pm the day before we were due to arrive and only after two messages and contacting VRBO.

We were a group of 5 staying for 4 nights. The communication was excellent and very prompt. The apartment was almost as described, but I would say the double bed in the 2nd bedroom was more on the side of a large single and we could only sleep one adult male in this bed, with 2 having to share the sofa bed. Apart from that, everything else was great. Good amenities within the apartment, nice touch with the welcome basket and folder with instructions and a large list of local restaurants, takeaways etc

Very nice apartment. Nicely decorated and clean. Generally well equipped. Lots of storage for suitcases etc. Comfortable beds. Had a problem with communication with owner. Was overcharged by 10 pounds for an extra guest that we didn’t have. Despite numerous attempts to contact the owner, and one response from him telling me that I would receive a refund, no refund has been received. This was very disappointing and unexpected.

Staying the night before my wedding. And on wedding night

I was really impressed by how lovely the apartment was. A lovely place to stay night before my wedding with my bridesmaids. And then on my wedding night. I did explain this information to the host when i booked up but now he is saying i only booked for one person and wants to know why all three beds had been slept in .

Fantastic two bed flat.

Really nice property. Modern, clean, well furnished, well equipped, convenient car parking spot adjacent to front door. Great host who lives in the local area, is on hand to help and provides helpful communication.

A first visit to Lichfield

The property was ideal for the 2 of us, might have been a bit cramped for the 5 nights if there had been 4 of us. The property was clean, comfortable and well equipped. A 15 minute walk into the centre of Lichfield was fine, a couple of pubs slightly closer turned out well on the evenings we didn't want to walk as far.

Quiet retreat near Lichfield Centre

Excellent location close to the centre of Lichfield, but very quiet and secluded. Lovely views over the reserve. Very warm and comfortable accommodation, clean a tidy throughout. Having an allocated parking spot was a great advantage. Being close to large supermarket was very convenient. Highly recommend this accommodation.
