I was looking for basic lodging while attending a funeral. This was such an amazing place to stay that I'm planning to come back next year for a relaxing vacation, sitting on the back deck looking at the lake, enjoying a cold drink and a good book.

The host and hostess were amazing! Very friendly and helpful. We had a delicious custom made breakfast each day we were there. The property is beautiful-great views!!!

Terry is a wonderful host and she prepares delicious breakfasts. The home is charming and it sits on a lake with a view of Mount Monadanock. There is a fridge stocked with soft drinks, wine and beer (complimentary). There is a TV room. Terry prepares a nice mid-afternoon snack. We think it is the best B & B.

Terry was an amazing host. She was so hospitable and made my stay here that much more comfortable. She not only cooks really amazing breakfast but she was so helpful when I wanted to check out the town. Her house is really truly beautiful and the lake is a little walk away from the house. I highly recommend coming here.

Wonderful Country B & B

Terry was a wonderful hostess. The breakfasts were to die for. The view out the living room window to the reservoir was breathtaking. We really enjoyed visiting with our hostess and would strongly encourage people to stay if in the area.

Beautiful character—gorgeous and romantic

This Bed and Breakfast is one of the most beautiful inns I’ve ever stayed in. There are so few beautiful inns with character nowadays. The inn is gorgeous and very romantic. Terry Maguire, our hostess, was very welcoming and incredibly generous and warm. I highly recommend the Maguire House—absolute perfection. 😀 Chris

The view from the deck was amazing. It overlooked a lake and Mount Monadanock. Our room was spacious and clean. The hosts were lovely people. They had a refrigerator stocked with wine and beer and they put out cookies in the afternoon. Breakfast was delicious and on the morning we had to leave before breakfast, they packed some bread and fruit for us.

exactly what my husband and i were looking for during a leaf peeping weekend. stunning views, nice owners, tasty breakfast, lots of extras like beer/wine and snacks, and excellent service. only tiny downside is bathroom is not in room but right next to bedroom.

The Maguire House is a beautifully decorated bed and breakfast with every attention to detail, right down to the chocolates and snacks in the bedroom and ultra soft tissues in the bathroom. Terry and Paul went to every enough to ensure we had a great time. Carrying our bags, printing off maps and providing a sumptuous breakfast each morning. They were delightful hosts and I couldn't recommend the Maguire House more highly.

Wonderful Wedding Night

My husband and I actually live in the area not far from the Maguire House. We were married this weekend in our church downtown with a reception to follow in a neighboring town. We aren't going on our honeymoon until June, but wanted to have a special night away on our wedding night. I booked the Wisteria room here and we could not be happier. The attention to every little detail was amazing. The Inn Keepers are wonderful and extremely accommodating. The views are spectacular. I highly recommend staying in here for any occasion. It is a close drive to the night life in neighboring towns/cities and at its own location you are close to hiking, biking, kayaking and other outdoor sports, as well as skiing at Wachusett mountain. What a wonderful place to spend our first night together as husband and wife!
