Gorgeous property, spacious rooms all with ensuite bathrooms, comfortable beds, beautiful and functional kitchen, great view, excellent outdoor spaces for socializing, large dining area that also works well for work projects (talks, organizing, planning in groups).Hosts were very responsive, very quickly!

Beautiful home and area to explore. We used it for our wedding. Neighbors were not kind, but the host was very helpful. Great place if you have a big group.

Loved everything about this house. Each room is thoughtfully decorated. The house and great room are positively breathtaking. Wonderful directions and instructions for the house. Would absolutely stay here again. Thank you for sharing your home with us.

Wonderful retreat

Rented the place for extended weekend (family reunion and birthday party). Absolutely lovely: the house is gorgeous and has everything you need, the owner was very helpful in answering my question and checking in-very smooth. The place is surrounded by nature and very beautiful.

Great House for Large Family

We all loved our stay for 2 nights and the nearby State Park with the beach was the cherry on top. Loved that every bedroom had a bathroom. The bathroom fixtures could use an upgrade but overall house was well facilitated.

A Spacious Family Gathering Location

This is property is exactly as advertised; clean, quiet, & well equipped with room for everyone. We were a three generation family gathering who enjoyed games in the spacious yard, relaxing on the deck, the easy walk to the trails, family meals at the large dining tables as well as the privacy of ensuite bathrooms. The owners are easy to communicate with and very responsive.

Great stay

We really enjoyed our stay there! The only downside was the microwave that broke shortly after arrival, which made it difficult to heat up stuff, including things for our children. The house was spacious and clean. We really had a great time and communication with the owner was very easy.

This house was nearly perfect for our family reunion of 17 people staying at the house and another 10 joining from locally. Everyone loved the space, great for the hot weather, cool inside and with room for all of us. I loved that each bedroom had its own bathroom. Many of my family enjoyed the kayaks. The kitchen was spacious with its own table and plenty of dishes and other necessities. There was a small problem with the dishwasher, but it still worked and I was assured it would be fixed. The location was great: good views, quiet, nearby lake and not too far from stores.

Our review of the property

The property was very large and accomodated our family. A few observations...the furniture was very distressed, the kitchen was small compared to the size of the house and the oven took longer than normal to warm the food. Since the trash was only collected once a week, the trash box should have been larger to accomodate more bags.

This property was extremely disappointing and honestly unsafe in several areas. The decks around the property had large sections of missing and peeling paint, making them look neglected and poorly maintained. The backyard was even worse — there was a huge pile of lumber left sitting out with nails sticking out everywhere, which is a serious hazard for both adults and children.To make matters worse, there was a strong raw sewage smell throughout the backyard, especially near the turkey mound area. The odor was unbearable at times and made it impossible to comfortably enjoy being outside.We were also required to pay an additional deposit in order to have a tent and dance floor set up because we were told it was for “lawn maintenance protection,” yet the backyard itself was already full of holes, uneven ground, and poorly maintained areas. It felt unreasonable to charge extra for lawn protection when the property was already in such rough condition.Overall, the property did not match expectations, appeared poorly maintained, and raised multiple safety and sanitation concerns. I would not recommend staying here unless significant improvements are made.

Mini Family Reunion

We had a great stay at this gorgeous property. It was spacious and tastefully designed to offer a cozy cabin feel. I really can't say enough positive things about this place, but I will list a few cons: - does not provided towels or linen (bed sheets and pillow cases). I understand this may be related to COVID/health concerns but the "cleaning fee" is enormous and should cover the costs of these items. - some sinks had slow drainage. I would like to thank the hosts for being super responsive and helpful in answering all my questions. I recommend this place and will possibly book for future events.

Spacious, well equipped house (including kitchen, games, activities, outdoor equipment, etc. ) Lovely property that was perfect for our group, as we try to spend most of our time outside around a firepit.The layout with each bedroom being a suite with its own bathroom was ideal! The owner is super responsive to all questions. This is a great property for larger groups and extended family gatherings!

Family Get Together

For the most part everything was great but , with linens not provided due to Covid, I don’t understand the basis for charging us for “excess” guests? Also, we originally requested a Thursday to Thursday stay to better accommodate family members work schedules which was accepted but owner later came back and demanded Friday to Friday or reservation would be canceled.

Family Get together for graduation celebration

On first arrival we were amazed by the beauty of the property and the lodge. We were down by the lake every day for fishing, boating, swimming and water play. Plenty of room for my very large family. Plenty of activites around the area. Marina and her husband as owners were very friendly, helpful and responsive.

What a great country setting

Had a short bisinees trip to this property w my friends and co-workers. The check-in is simple, the place was huge and inviting. Stove, grill, AC worked as it should and were clean. We had to bring our own linens and towells but we preferred it anyway. I read some of the negative reviews prior to renting but did not have the same experience. One cant expect a hotel type setting and amenities when renting in the country. The grounds were also well kept and the access to the lake was easy. Thank you fpr kayaks! My friends and I will definitely be back.
