The cabin itself was nice for a couple, however we noticed blood stains on the paper towels and pillows. There was no dish soap as well and had towels delivered to us after our check in time. The cabins are located in a neighborhood that didn’t necessarily feel safe. Me and my girlfriend wanted to go for a scenic walk and were being followed by the neighborhood dogs. To make matters worse, I noticed when I woke up in the morning there was a HUGE dent on the rear drivers side. No note, no cameras to see what happened. Overall not the best stay, especially for the price.

There was a mix-up with the couple renting the other cabin. They arrived first, and was asked if they were the couple with the dog, and they said yes and were let in the cabin. When we arrived they had started unpacking, so we agreed to let them stay on our cabin, and we stayed in there cabin.There was no loft in our cabin, but we had paid for it. We were not going to make it an issue. We did enjoy our stay. Bed and couch very comfortable. Needs more light in kitchen area.

Great Stay

We had a great one-night stay at the one-bedroom cabin. The area was quiet. The fresh eggs from the chicken coop were an added bonus. We were able to enjoy hiking at Lost Maples and Garner parks as well as delicious burgers at Bent Rim bar and grill. The Catahoula gallery is a great store. The bed was not very comfortable and squeaked whenever one would reposition. I would recommend that one take a screenshot of check-in instructions. We did not have cell-phone reception or wi-fi access when we arrived and did not write down or screen shot information. Luckily Bent Rim had wi-fi and we were able contact host for the info.

The property was good overall but the mattress was really bad and my husband and I woke up with stiff backs and severe pain, which inevitably destroyed our plans to go hiking and impacted the rest of our trip. Other minor details were the bathroom smelling upon entering which then aired out and missing extra toilet paper which we had to go buy in the middle of the night. I did enjoy the chickens and the open area for kids to play though.

State Park hiking weekend

My husband, son and his girlfriend and myself enjoyed our stay! Clean, warm, quiet, w comfortable beds and very hot shower all greatly appreciated after a day of hiking in Lost Maples. We could watch the game, easy to figure out the TV set up.The loft got overly warm when we turned on the heat so the kids slept in their camper van out front, which was fine. Lofts are just built for the heat to rise and they get toasty. Even though the cabin is close to the road it was quiet. Thank you we had a nice stay!

Suite shed in Leakey

Such a cute home. Communication with the owner was always quick and easy. I was surprised to find it had 2 bedrooms, instead of 1 ( one is a loft). The location is super quiet and safe. The back yard is so cute as well with a garden, a fire pit and farm fresh eggs. I would 100% recommend this home to anyone.
