Secluded Cozy Luxurious Cabin, Gourmet Kitchen On 100 Acres W/ Miles Of Trails

Hello I'm Joe. if you're looking for a place to relax, hike, ski or just enjoy nature this is the perfect place. The cabin is nestled between two mountains up a 1/4 mile driveway very private.

With a rustic look on the exterior while the interior is very luxurious top of the line appliances, washer and dryer, spacious kitchen open to the living area for entertaining. A second-floor Deck with an outdoor jacuzzi The cabin has two bedrooms The lower level has two beds and the second floor bedroom has one bed and one pull out bed in the sectional sofa. The downstairs also has two lounging chairs in front of a wood stove and a covered front porch with couch and chairs.

We are close to Babcock state park, the New River for kayaking and fishing and only 45 minutes from Winterplace for excellent skiing. We are situated on 100 acres and next to the New River National Forest with miles of trails for hiking or riding ATV's or horses. This is also a great central location to enjoy many of the festivals in the area.

This is a rural area so you should bring your groceries. although there is dollar store that has some groceries a few miles up the road in Danese. Regular grocery stores Kroger, Food Lion, Walmart, are in Beckley. approximately 20 miles away.

Nice get away

My husband and I enjoyed our stay, but our 8 month old lab LOVED it! We enjoyed the horses coming by for a carrot now and then. The cabin was nice and I especially appreciated the bed and linens. Kitchen was as advertised and the hot tub was great!It’s in a great area for hiking which we did even though it rained a good bit while we were there.

This was a wonderful place to stay! It felt comfortable and was a home away from home. Everything you needed and more! Fully enjoyed the hot tub at night under the most expansive sky of stars I have ever seen!

Peace & Quiet

We had an incredible visit last year that we came back! It's the perfect escape into nature. Our three dogs had the time of their lives exploring off-leash and swimming in the pond—it was truly dog heaven! We spent our days hiking through the woods and our evenings unwinding on the porch, taking in the peaceful sounds of nature. One of the highlights was stargazing under the crystal-clear night sky—absolutely magical. If you're looking for a peaceful, private getaway where you can truly disconnect, this place is it. Getaway

We wanted a little cabin in the woods away from the public and this home away from away was the perfect place. This cabin is equipped with all the most modern kitchen equipment one could ask for. It’s a cozy little place for a couple or a family of four. And the home host is very receptive to any concerns you may have. So worth the drive and stay.

Breathtaking

We were traveling from Florida,just looking for some snow and secluded spot.We have 3 German Shepherds,one of them is not friendly.Joe’s spot was was just what we needed.We got the whole mountain all to ourselves,easy drive,lots of snow and fun.Saw a deer on our hike.Will definitely be back,my favorite place to be ,didnt want to leave.

Privacy and Peaceful

Thanks for sharing your cabin with us! Enjoy the little things!!Great outdoor space. Great cabin off the beaten path. Very private and so peaceful. Hot tub, fire pit, gas grill, coffee maker, nice kitchen, all the things to enjoy a cabin stay. Close to the National park to enjoy also. Love that it was pet friendly!

Family get away

Took wife and both adult kids for a long weekend for my wife's birthday. Great time. Joe gives you full access to his little slice of heaven. No horses in December for us but tons of piece and quiet. Make the 10 mile drive to Babcock state forest. If you like tattoos get ahold of wolf sing ink in mt hope. 25 minute drive from cabin and this guy is top notch in the business. Joe we'll be back very soon.

AMAZING SPOT! DEFINITELY BOOK IT!

My partner and our 4 dogs had an absolute blast!! The cabin is very cute, comfortable, and fully stocked in all things from blankets to kitchenware! The property is large, fun, adventurous, peaceful, and truly enjoyable. Our dogs LOVED running off leash, swimming in the pond, and walking the trails. The hottub is a huge plus!! If you book, definitely plan your meals ahead of time and bring groceries - it's worth it. Joe is a great host and answered so many questions of mine - he was very patient with me. We will surely be back - it's a good place to escape to!

Stunning cabin in the woods

Thank you!--Such a beautiful place! We were sold already when the gentle horses came up to us to let us pet them when we arrived but the whole experience was lovely for my husband, 4-year-old, 9-month-old and dog and I. Very comfortable cabin with everything we needed and the hot tub overlooking the forest is stunning after going for a hike. Many options for groceries/restaurants/hiking/climbing about 30-45 min away which worked well for us and we appreciated the quiet location. Honestly it was an amazing experience just to spend time at and explore the property. All our human and canine sons did not want to leave!

Lovely quiet retreat!

We really enjoyed our stay! The property is huge and they had 2 horses that were so friendly. The place is pretty remote, which was an adjustment for our teen girls, but they ended up having a lot of fun. Great communication with our host, too!

Very nice property. The cabin looks a little rough on the outside but inside it is nice. Great kitchen. Good internet connection. Very secluded/private property but not far from the National Park. Plenty of areas to hike and explore on the property and the horses are friendly.

Hiking trip with our dog

Property was perfect for our three night stay. We loved the horses and getting to feed them apples. Our dog enjoyed getting to free roam on the property. There are so many cool hikes in the New River Gorge area, filled with history of the mining sites.

Wonderful Stay! Absolutely Beautiful 😍

This property is stunning and has so much history! We didn’t even come close to exploring all the wonders this property has to offer. The cabin is so relaxing and has an amazing atmosphere and vibe. Stargazing is like no other, especially while relaxing in the hotub. The horses were a huge bonus and are yet another reason this cabin and property are a must. Thank you so much Joe!! You are so kind and we were so sad to leave your paradise. We will definitely be back!! Next time I will find the waterfall 😉
