"Quiet, peaceful place, our deck felt like we were in a treehouse. Outstanding hosts, cabin was cozy but plenty of room for the two of us. Definitely a do-again."

"As always, the Lake Lure Inn was a delight. They used to have continental breakfast but weren’t offering during this stay. Always enjoyed the continental breakfast and it added value to the many stays there. We look forward to its return. In its absence we thoroughly enjoyed delicious breakfasts at a fairly new restaurant called The 828."

"The place is beautiful and tucked into the woods. I recommend taking a screenshot of the instructions while you have cell service since it cuts in and out when you're that deep in the hills. You have wifi in the room which is great. Loved the property! There's a community kitchen in the lodge for all your cooking needs."

"Taking into consideration that the town is still pretty quiet and much is still not open due to Hurricane Helene, we had a pleasant stay. It was our anniversary weekend and I thought I had booked a room with a hot tub, but had not. The place was empty so I asked for an upgrade to the hot tub room, the website said there was availability and of course I was happy to pay any fees. "The biggest drawbacks to the room Were size, lack of in room amenities ( primarily a coffee maker) the bed linens / blanket were so thin I froze all night because the AC would never shut off- regardless of the temp it was set at"

"Wi-Fi was difficult to access, Would cut out very often. I would strongly suggest putting no-slip strips on bath floor and/or installing grab bars for elderly patrons' (like myself) safety. Would have liked it if the breakfast opened at 6am instead of seven am."

"It was clean. It was well located within the city even if it is beside the highway. It is incredibly noisy and after being woken up multiple times despite exhaustion, a sound machine, and a second ambient noise machine, I asked to be moved and considered myself lucky to be moved to the other side of the building on a low floor. I really should have just left. There is no elevator, no laundry, no coffee machine in the room. Items were not necessarily cleaned and I found old fruit in a bowl left...
