"The manager Bill was excellent- very on top of things! We were impressed with access to beach and that chairs, umbrella, cooler, towels were all included. The place could have been a little cleaner but nothing that we couldn’t fix by washing a few things. Would stay here again!"

The Expedia description says there is a full kitchen and there absolutely was no full kitchen. It was a place to sleep but not a place to relax or make your own food if you're trying to budget. Walks to food are pretty far."

"Hotel is excellent for sleeping purposes. Amenities are poor: fitness center barely has machines and space ir really narrow. Pool is okay. Staff was nice. The hotel seems to have been recently renovated. Things to consider: - $150 are charged as a deposit when arrived, and money is returned in 7-business days. - $10 fee for parking (per day)."

"Probably driven by a new philosophy of management, but there were no amenities except upon request. Needs, such as towels was based upon exchange only. in other words, I could not get new towels unless I turned in the old ones. Everything required a security deposit. And we had noisy neighbors, and the room next to us, that fought every night. Very unlikely we would ever use this hotel again."

"Dee Jay Beach resort is a great place to stay in Lauderdale by the Sea. Not only us it in a great location, our efficiency was comfortable and roomy. The owner was on site and attended to any needs we had. The backyard was a nice respite from the hectic travel and had a pool and lounge chairs to relax and rest. There was a shopping plaza a short distance away, which housed a super market, a diner, and so much more. A short drive, led us to a great area with lots of restaurants and shops. ...

We loved all the palm trees and shrubbery that surrounds the lounge area that makes it secluded. It has a tiki bar for night cocktails if you choose so. Nothing loud just relaxing vibes.
