The ice machine on our floor was inoperable and I asked for access to another floor so I could use their ice machine. I was initially told that I would be given access to another floor but just had to go to the front desk to ask for my key card to be re-keyed. But when I did that, I was given a different answer that all ice machines on all 56 floors of the hotel were not working. That seems very hard to believe. What the front desk told us was that we had to go to the coffee shop and ask them for Ice to fill our bucket. We had to do that several times in our three day stay. To me that seems ridiculous and they clearly were not being honest with us. Why would they turn off all ice machines on all 56 floors in the hotel? plus people staying in hotels need ice, to make drinks in the room or for ice chests to keep food from spoiling.
In other respects, the hotel was good, but I consider this ice issue to be both a failure of the facility and also the service quality. A hotel that is supposed to be 4.5. Stars should have working ice machines. Even a motel 6 has working ice machines.
