The Bunkhouse

Welcome to The Bunkhouse! Its rustic space features an open floor plan with the living room, kitchen (that has everything you need), and bathroom downstairs. The beds are located upstairs in the loft. Rural small town, 15 miles from Lake Palestine, 30 miles from Tyler, Tx, and an easy drive to Canton Trade Days. Only 3 miles away from TX Ziplining Adventure and an array of local wineries around!

You have full access inside the bunkhouse and the area in front of it. Please do not open any gates or go in the pastures.
Owners will not be responsible for accidents or injury to guests, or for loss of money, or valuables of any kind.
There is to be no smoking at all in the house or on the porches surrounding it. (THERE IS A $200 FEE IF FOUND SMOKING)

Perfect Stay

Group of 4 fishermen stayed for a fishing tournament on Lake Palestine. Everyone in our group loved the place and it was in the perfect location for us. Bunkhouse was spotless and very comfortable. Plenty of parking for trucks and bass rigs and fantastic hosts. Everything we needed and more. Thanks Haley! Hopefully it will be available for our next stay in the area.

Great Stay

Had a group of 8 fishing Lake Athens for the weekend. The Bunkhouse had plenty of space to sleep, prepare and eat meals and park our trailers. The only downside was the single bathroom but we worked around that with no issues. Leslie was a great host and easy to communicate with. We will definitely return in the future.

Family Time

We rented this property to spend time with extended family. The house was roomy for all six of us to feel comfortable during our stay. The beds were comfy too. We played board games, watched tv, and spent some time outdoors. After checking out we headed to Athens to the fishery so everyone could spend time fishing. It was a great visit and the house was a great place to gather.

Perfect girls weekend!

The Bunkhouse is perfect for a group weekend. It was better than expected and in a beautiful location away from the hustle and bustle of town but only about 10 min away from everything you would need in town. The Bunkhouse was very clean and supplied with everything you should need. The host were very nice and we really appreciated them opening their place to us!

Cute place…

Great place that will accommodate ~10 people. My husband and I stayed there Christmas night, and the property owner left a loaf of freshly baked bread and homemade strawberry jam with “Merry Christmas” wishes. So thoughtful! Although we did not use it, the kitchen was well appointed and had everything needed to make family meals. We would definitely stay here again!
