Giraffe Views | Giraffe Centre: Time really does fly when you’re doing something you love. Thought I was going to be at the Giraffe Centre for about an hour or so but ended up staying for almost 3 hrs. These animals are just so impressive to watch, I felt as if I were among giants. The neck of a giraffe on average is approximately 6 feet (1.8 meters) long and accounts for much of the animal’s hight along with their legs which also average 6 feet (1.8 meters) in length. These are considerably strong animals as well and though the animals here regularly interact with people it shouldn’t be forgotten that they are indeed wild animals. Just recently there was a cameraman that was killed in South Africa when he was head butted by a giraffe while taking some close up pictures. I also had a close call and was almost head butted here because I was focused on looking through the viewfinder of my camera and lost situational awareness of a giraffe that was next to me. Luckily there are considerable barriers between visitors and the giraffes so it might be difficult for the animals to get a lot of momentum when swinging it’s head and it probably helped that the giraffe that hit me had pretty poor aim and hit the lens of my camera and not my head.

"Lovely and clean rustic place including room and common area. Love the detailing to the space, better ambience than in a hotel! We could easily park our car safely at the space outside near the garden within the house compound. Cosy and clean bedding, equipped with electric kettle, fridge and cooking place. Good WiFi, could shower comfortably in the bath. Highly recommended!"

"Vi hade Margarita House som bas under 2 veckor i Kenya när vi gjorde safaris och utflykter till bl.a. Masai Mara, Crescent Island, Karura forest och Sheldrick Trust. På det sättet slapp vi släpa på alla resväskor och kunde resa lätt på utflykter och safaris och det var det värt alla gånger. Personalen är helt fantastisk, så hjälpsamma och vänliga. "I traveled to Nairobi, where I was picked up by a staff from hotel. Stayed at the Troy hotel for two weeks. I had plenty of dishes to choose from. The staff checked on me to make sure I was comfortable. I was greeted going out and coming in. I was asked what would I like for breakfast the next morning. This experience was delightful being a single traveler. I recommend Troy hotel. It gave a family friendly atmosphere."
