"I love this little gem of a pub and have been staying here for at least the past 15 years whenever I am in the area for regular work. Andy and Adele make a great team with delicious food, a good variety of beers, wines, cocktails etc and a lovely fire to keep us all cosy and warm, oh and the fish pie was really delicious! 😋"

The owners were super helpful in terms of their communication ahead of our booking, as well as in answering all of our questions in the build up. The cooked breakfast in the morning was amazing and we really appreciated their friendliness and their suggestions for things to do in the nearby area. "Tolles, modernes und sauberes Hotel, mit Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und Restaurants direkt vor der Tür. Ok, Sehenswürdigkeiten und Ausflugsziele befinden sich nicht in der unmittelbaren Umgebung. Man muss mobil sein, wenn man diese Unterkunft wählt. Aber das Hotel als solches ist hervorragend. Nettes Personal, tolles Frühstück. Gern wieder!"

"Booked a one night stay as meeting up with a group of friends for a night out in Newark. My (standard) room was clean, comfortable and well furnished. The bar/dining area was very cosy with local beers (Pheasantry) on draught. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay and the breakfast was superb. Excellent value for money - highly recommended!"
