"The hotel is dated. The rooms are in desperate need of refurbishment. We had booked an extra bed and was not provided a pillow. The bathroom was not clean. We were meant to stay for two nights and checked out after the first night. The breakfast is substandard. The hotel seems short staffed—when we checked out it was the bellhop that did the processing of the paperwork and not the reception staff and this was around 9am. "This place was just ok for a hotel in India. It’s so far up a mountain that access to outside food and drivers are slim, so you are at the hotel’s mercy for pretty much anything. The balcony was nice and so was the view. No ac in this hotel, and no mosquito nets. There was a really old plug in fan in the room though and it didn’t really fit well with the rest of the room. "The hotel is falsely advertised, the view outside was of a wall, the bed was stiff, limited hot water, there was no mini bar as advertised, the curtains didn’t little to block out the light, little toilet paper, the aircon droned on humming the whole time, the walls are thin so you can hear other peoples conversations, showers, phones ringing and people walking up and down stairs. The garden part of the hotel was only for three cottages, the rest concrete. Very expensive compared to other places...

"Front desk and management were superior! The area around the properties were lovely and wild! The rooms are nestled amid the trees and the morning bird calls are so serene. The rooms are a little old-fashioned, but everything worked and the room was spotless. A great place to stay."

"This is NOT in Munnar town centre. The map is WRONG. It is actually 12km (35 mins) south of Munnar. Place is peaceful. It is 20 minutes walk from the nearest place to eat. It was freezing cold at night... as in wearing 5 layers of clothing cold. The smallest cabin would be v tight for 2 people. The walk up to the cabin from the carpark is crazy steep. Might be challenging for people with mobility issues"
