Private Dog Friendly Log Cabin on 2 Acres No Front Neighbors


New for 2025: new kitchen appliances, new mattresses throughout, 2nd bedroom is a king as well as the master bedroom, 3rd bedroom has extra long twin bunkbeds and one extra long twin over queen bunkbed.

We are happy to welcome your furry friends to Ziggy's. A large portion of the rear yard is fenced to keep your furry friends contained. If you are bringing a dog on your trip, the pet fee is already included in your quote when selecting ‘Yes’ to pets.

Ziggy's Hideaway is a real log cabin with beautiful log beams throughout situated on two and 1/4 acres bordering the Reservation in the tall pines of Lakeside, AZ. Our cabin sleeps 8 on high end mattresses in 3 bedrooms with additional sleeping for 4 on 2 twin air mattresses and 1 full size futon. The Master Bedroom has an ensuite bathroom with dual sinks and large dual head shower. The Family Bathroom has a bath/shower combination. There is a fully equipped kitchen including coffee maker, blender, toaster, oven, microwave, full size fridge with freezer, ice maker, and filtered water as well as everything you need to cook a full holiday meal. There are dishes and silverware for twelve and seating for twelve at the bar and dining table. All bedrooms have flat screen TV's; in total we have five flat screen TV's. The upstairs loft is perfect for the kids with seating for 5+ and TV with XBox 360 and limited games. Sitting in the loft you have beautifulviews of the Reservation to the front and to the rear are the tall pines on the property, it is like being in your own tree house. There is a private deck off the Master Bedroom for relaxing and listening to the sound of the tall pines. The front fully gated deck encompasses the front of the cabin and provides unobstructed views of the Reservation where you can see wild horses, cows, Jack Rabbits, deer, elk and bears.

We provide paper towels, toilet paper, trash bags, hand soap, dish soap, dishwasher tabs, kitchen sponge. We also have a hospitality tray which includes your first night's coffee, assorted teas and some sweet treats!

Ziggy’s Hideaway Cabin was exactly what I was looking for. The cabin was comfortable, cozy, and incredibly quiet—perfect for relaxing and getting away from the noise of everyday life. It had a welcoming feel and was a great place to unwind. The host was also very responsive and easy to communicate with. I’d recommend Ziggy’s Hideaway to anyone looking for a peaceful and comfortable getaway.

This place was so amazing to stay in, the kitchen had everything possible you would need to cook your meals. We didn't use the fireplace, but we did use the outdoor fire pit to sit around and make smores All the rooms had very comfortable beds, which all 9 of my family members mentioned that stayed with us. We will definitely be back to stay at Ziggys Hideaway!!! We strongly recommend anyone who loves cooler weather and quiet nature to experience staying at Ziggys, if i could give 10 stars, I most definitely would

My family and I had a blast this weekend at Ziggy’s Hideaway cabin. Brett & Nicky were awesome hosts; they even sent us the DOT link for highway updates on the morning we were checking in, which was extremely helpful! Throughout our stay, they were very accessible and quick to respond on any question that arose, even trivial ones! But the cabin had everything we needed and we cooked some great, full hearty meals during our 4-day stay! The beds were extremely comfortable and warm, and best of all, they welcomed us with a fully decorated, lit Christmas tree that we saw as soon as we opened the front door when we arrived! It was magical!!! We also enjoyed the indoor wood burning fireplace. The crackling flames really enhanced the comfort and warmth to our relaxing weekend. We will definitely return and definitely recommend this gorgeous, serene cabin to others!!! Thanks Brett & Nicky!!! Merry Christmas!!!

This was our 2nd stay at Ziggy's. We booked a 4 night stay for a party of 11. I enjoy this home because 1) it is not on top of the neighbors 2) it's next to the reserve so we frequently saw deer and elk and 3) it is large enough to comfortably accommodate my party of 11. The hosts are responsive and the home was clean and cozy. We cooked every night and the kitchen provided all the necessities to make it possible. We will return again.

Cabin was very clean and had everything we needed for a very relaxing stay. We especially loved the fenced/gated porch that connected to a very large secured yard which was perfect for our two large four-legged fur babies. It was nice to have multiple TVs for our viewing pleasure. The beds were very comfortable and sit HIGH off the ground which we happen to love. The master bedroom’s on suite bathroom is beautiful. The location is very quiet, providing a wonderful relaxing time.

We absolutely loved our stay at Ziggy’s Hideaway! From the moment we arrived, we felt welcome. The cabin is beautifully decorated—cozy, clean, and full of “bear” charm—and the surrounding property is simply stunning. It was the perfect peaceful escape surrounded by the tall pines. We loved being able to sit on the porch to relax. We saw so many beautiful birds, some wild horses, and even a bear across the road behind the barbed-wire fence on the reservation!One of the biggest highlights for us was how pet-friendly the cabin is. It meant so much to be able to bring our 2 fur babies along and know they were just as welcome as we were. Honestly, I don't think that they wanted to leave either!The hosts went above and beyond with their thoughtful touches and communication. They kept us updated on road conditions before our arrival & when it was time to check out, which was incredibly helpful, and the cabin itself was stocked with an adorable beverage and snacks station, as well as all the dishes you need, and that made us feel right at home.We’re already dreaming about our next visit to Ziggy’s Hideaway, and we’ll definitely be back to this specific cabin the next time we need a getaway! This was a true 5 star experience!!!

Ziggy's is the perfect place for a relaxing, peaceful stay in the pines. We loved watching the wild horses across the road. The 6 huge bluejays playing in the trees. Even in the rain you can sit on the porch and enjoy nature. The hosts are wonderful. They communicated efficiently and warned us of bears bacause we had our dogs. There was a small bear that ran through the front yard without harm. The backyard and porch are fully fenced for dogs and kids and there are security lights too. The house is super clean and maintained well. Comfy beds, plenty of linen, a huge dining table, and a firepit outside were some of the many amenities we liked. We appreciated the super cute, warming, inviting decor and convenient location. We have stayed at many places over many years, in the Show Low, Pinetop, Lakeside area and this has become our favorite and the only one we will plan to stay at again!! Absolutely loved it!

Check in process was very easy, Ziggy communicated with us daily, lots of towels and linens. Great location, nice and peaceful. Plenty of rooms and my kids loved the loft area with the older xbox and games. Great fenced yard, close to what you need. Bathrooms were clean and place is nice. We had two issues which owners said they would take care of quickly for the next guests and I know they will. Master shower drain was clogged and there were some large bugs inside (beetles and cockroach) which they said they would contact the pest person to relay that info. Really was a beautiful place to stay and the communication with owners is top notch. I would recommend staying here.

Fathers Day Weekend

The location of Ziggy’s Hideaway is perfect if you’re looking for serenity. Easy to access while still providing an exclusive feel. The cabin was fantastic for my family of 4 and my in-laws, kids to seniors had an incredible weekend… and our four legged family member too! Love the enclosed backyard, not as common in northern Arizona. Looking forward to staying here again

Beautiful cabin in the woods!

We had a wonderful stay the cabin, perfect amount of space for the 7 of us (4 adults, 3 kids 11-15) plus a dog. The owners sent a very informative welcome packet which helped us prepare for the trip. They also contact the day of to make sure I had everything I needed and to give information about the roads to Pinetop. The house was clean with comfortable furniture with an amazing porch and fenced back yard for my dog. The area was beautiful and a short drive to pretty much everything. We were able to go for a morning walk in the area around the house. The owners were very responsive throughout our stay, helping with any questions. This is definitely a place we stay when we go back!!
