Nestled on 5.5 acres of private land, the property offers unparalleled peace and tranquility. Adjacent to the scenic Kindrum Lough, it boasts private walking trails through ruggedly beautiful gardens, where every step immerses you in the raw beauty of nature.

    The area is designated a Special Area of Conservation (SAC), making it a haven for wildlife enthusiasts. Spectacular creatures such as golden eagles, buzzards, otters, and foxes call this area home, providing unforgettable glimpses of nature in its purest form. For anglers, the best fishing spot on Kindrum Lough is just a stone's throw from the house, offering opportunities to catch brown trout, rainbow trout, and the elusive wild Atlantic char.

Perfect location to have a quiet break nice walks beautiful areas to see and discover. The property was a family home everything we needed was there hope to visit again soon

This is a little gem nestled right beside a lough, with a view of hills and nature all right on your doorstep. This is a lovely quirky house, filled with charm and a real sense of home. 4 Great-sized bedrooms, 3 x very comfortable double beds, and the 4th room with 2 sets of bunk beds. Perfect for an extended family or a share house. A lovely open fire in the sitting room and another room just for chilling. The kitchen has everything you need to cook a meal, and a separate dining room to eat in. Gardens all around the property and little paths that take you on adventures. Take the road just up past the house and in 5 minutes you will be at a beautiful beach. 15 minutes, over Harry Blaney Bridge, and you're in Downings. Great places to eat nearby are Fisk in Downings, In Carrigart, the Hotel has great food as does Narrow Quarter Bistro. Fanad Lighthouse is a must. There is so much beautiful scenery to see. Highly recommended; I would love to return. thank you.

This is a wonderful house with all it's quirkiness of a holiday home. Very responsive host. Very comfortable adult beds. Very remote, but hey, that's Donegal. The views are to die for.

A family friendly old farmhouse which suited our 8 family members, aged from 3 to quite a bit older. Beautifully secluded with plenty of ground around the house and acres of exploring along the lake shore. We were there at the end of March and the weather was cool and blustery, though we didn't have much rain. Only a 5 minute drive to the lovely beach at Ballyhiernan Bay. We visited Fanad Lighthouse and took the tour which was worth it. Also fished from the pier at Ballyhoorisky and explored the shoreline around here. We also did a little hillwalking, climbing nearby Murren Hill, though it does have a road pretty much to the top. Lots of relaxing at the house was on the menu. There are plenty of books and good Wi-Fi, though if you like to watch TV in the evening bring your own, which we did with no hassle. In warmer weather you could see how you could make much more use of the grounds which would be brilliant. There were no fish rising in the lake as it was still too cold, though there are spots on the ground to fish from. Kitchen was small, though it suited our needs and there was a separate dining room. Cosy and warm with the oil heating which was easy to adjust and the open fire was great in the evenings, there was some wood to keep us going and we found more beachcombing and added a bag of coal which all lasted us the week.We recieved all the information we needed to find and access the house and would definitely consider returning.
