It was okay not to clean, a lot of mold in a carton shower, to much smell in the house from the carpet and the kitchen cabinets. Outside was clean and well maintained. not to far the village. The management should do little bit more cleaning inside the cabine

Weekend getaway for 2

Cute little cabin. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. They give you towels if you don't bring your own. Room was updated, microwave, fridge, TV. Shower was small and being short didn't help. The shower head didn't move. Other than that, it was very nice. Quiet area, nice fire pits.

The carpet smells and the furniture old ,cheap and not comfortable plus you have to bring your hand towels because no towels in the room don’t forget to bring coffee filters coffee if you like to drink it.

Could never have done a better choice! We live in an apartment and wanted a place with space for the kids run around and this was just perfect. A cozy cabin with great outdoor space including picnic table, fire pit and a playground couple steps away. My 4 year old boy asked the hole time if we could stay there for ever... only a few points to be observed, the beds does need some improvement and carpets needs a deep clean. Absolutely nothing that reduces the quantity of the place. Whoever have the chance ask for cabin 7 the next time we visit Lake George will be our place.

We were up charged $50 per night for one extra kid. Room had inadequate lighting and electrical outlets! They provide a keurig with NO k cups or coffee cups. Additional coffee maker has extremely short cord and no place to plug it in! Had to place it on the floor on the side of the bed to brew coffee! Room could also use a small table so you don’t have to prep food/ coffee on the entertainment stand!

It could of been a disaster!!!!

The Blair house was amazing even though I booked through hotels.com when I showed up there was no reservation and thought our weekend getaway was ruined, the owner of The Blair house stepped up and got us a room for the night and went above and beyond and got us a night at another hotel for the same price, because he was all booked for the weekend!! He turned what could of been a disaster into an amazing weekend thank you Blair House!!! Can’t wait to come back next year!!!

Easy place to stay

Stay was very nice. I was late to check in which was fine. I was able to get right in. However I was woken up in the morning to go over the paperwork. Overall was a great stay. Air conditioning was very cold.

I loved on how the owners were very friendly and made sure we always had what we needed. They always knocked before coming in, if we were home, and always knew how to make us feel comfortable and give us the best advice about attractions in the area.

5 stars for a clean, inexpensive stay

We have stayed in several motels over the past few years looking for something that was both nice and inexpensive. We finally found this balance at the Blair House. It's the right kind of rustic, worn but clean. We've paid literally twice the amount at places that were blatantly not even cleaned well between guests. It's obviously run and maintained by someone who cares about it, not just a paid staff. We certainly look forward to coming back!

The room was nice, clean, and comfortable. The property was well taken care of, and the staff was very friendly. We brought our dog and he liked it too. It is close to town so it was also very convenient. We had a wonderful time and would definitely come again.

Location was Excellent, staff was very pleasant and the room was spotless and a nice size. Unfortunately my stay was just "ok" The room was very no frills. The beds were very uncomfortable. We did get a good rate (about $35 a night cheaper than other places we were looking at) This would be a great place to stay if the rooms were upgraded a bit and replaced those terribly sagging mattresses.

Clean cozy cottage near Lake George Village

We were very pleased with our recent stay at the Blair House. We had reserved the two room cottage so my wife and I shared one room and our daughter had her own room which made her very happy. Check in was fast and easy. We needed to check out early the next morning and our host was very accommodating concerning that request. The cottage was very clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The location was wonderful with easy access off of I-87. It took us less than 5 minutes to drive to the village for dinner. I would highly recommend staying at the Blair House if you are visiting the Lake George area. I know we will!
