Log Cabin on the Hudson

Enjoy the serenity and relaxation offered at this beautiful Hudson River location. "The River House," as we refer to it, is a beautiful log cabin surrounded by mountain views, river views, and wood views. Take a seat on the front lawn and enjoy the tranquility of the river.

The River House's location is central to many area attractions, such as Lake George, Six Flags, Gore Mountain, and Saratoga Race Track.

The owners are located nearby for any questions or assistance you may need. A pack and play is available.

There are three external surveillance cameras located on the property. Two are located on the corner of the cabin pointing towards the garage. One is outside on the side of the house facing the propane tank fill station. The cameras are disarmed when the house is occupied.

Peaceful place to stay!

This property was truly perfect for my best friends bachelorette weekend. We are in our 30s with kids and our main goal was to RELAX all weekend. The part of the river across the road is a wonderful place to explore, take pictures and cool off if it's hot. We loved sitting outside on the deck, by the fire pit and even swang on the swings like little kids again. Having wood already chopped and ready was such a blessing as a group of women. We went to Lake George near by to check out Dj's Nite Club (great place) and when we got back, we had accidentally locked ourselves out. Since service is patchy, it took a little time to get ahold of our host but she came to our rescue at 3am! She was so sweet and helpful, we really appreciated it! Overall, the house was clean and comfortable. The bed in the bear room is AMAZING with the topper on it and there's so much room to just be together. We really enjoyed the hot tub as well. Being in its own room was a really cool touch. We personally had no issues with the internet as we only used it on our phones as it is a fairly dead zone for cell service (which we didn't mind at all). Thank you Alyssa for easing our minds when we got paranoid being in the woods, all alone, just us women and coming to our rescue in the middle of the night. You're the best!

Guys weekend

We loved our stay at this place. The location is great and it’s a short drive to lake George. Great fire pit and lots of room. The deck overlooks the Hudson River which is great for fishing. The host was awesome. She got back to me very quickly on a lot of questions that I asked. I would definitely stay here again.

Cabin in the woods

Our family absolutely loved our stay! The house is so beautiful! The kids loved the playground. We all loved making s’mores at the fire pit. The house was big enough to comfortably accommodate our family of 9. The house is in a private wooded area with the river across the road. You can not see the neighbors once you are on the property. It was only 20 minutes away from downtown Lake George. We are definitely planning on staying at this house again next time we go on vacation.

Xmas Trip

Everything was so pleasant and cozy in the mountains! Loved the hot tub and proximity of activities to do. However, it would have been great if both bathrooms had shampoo/conditioner/body wash to use just in case. Other than that, the stay was wonderful!

Excellent Hudson Cabin

Very cozy house, quiet and isolated with a wonderful view of the Hudson river. A fantastic place to spend a rainy October weekend watching movies, making dinner and enjoying the hot tub. Thanks for the great experience!

Perfect house for elderly parents who needed first floor bedroom and bathroom along with my two teen boys who loved the bunkbeds. View was incredible, and we really enjoyed eating on the deck.

Great Stay on the Hudson

The property was perfect for our trip (two families with three kids). Very clean and the only issue we had was no cell service and spotty internet which given the location is to be expected. Great view of the Hudson river and a perfect location for our trip (we went to both Gore Mountain and Lake George).

Winter Weekend

Stayed here for a weekend family get away. House was perfect for our size. Beautiful location on the Hudson. Close to downtown and a 15 minute drive to the center of Lake George. If we ever return to the area we will absolutely book house again.

Awesome log cabin home

Wow! This was a great home. It was comfortable, clean, convenient and has everything thing you need for a great vacation. Close to Gore and Lake George. The owner was so accommodating and friendly . Great house! We all loved it. We will be coming back next year as this is our new ski vacation VRBO. Alyssa thank you, what an amazing place.

Beautiful Experience!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay! Alyssa couldn’t have been nicer. The views were gorgeous and it was a quick 20 minutes drive to Lake George. We enjoyed making s’mores in the fire pit and exploring the beauty across the street. A fantastic experience overall!

Summer retreat

House is great. Could use some furniture upgrades for more comfortable sitting areas. There was a leak in the basement by the laundry center but the owner was on top of it and scheduled to have a plumber come out. Overall a very nice time. The house is located off the beaten path and it was nice to have the quietness at the house and the hustle and bustle of Lake George 15 minutes away. River was fun. The cell coverage and wifi are not reliable so be prepared to disconnect. We thought that was a good thing.

Beautiful location. Spotty wifi. Good food in the area.

We rented this house to stay since we were going to a wedding at the Sagamore on Lake George. Our overall impression is good. We would have liked to have known that we would have spotty internet service. The Wifi extender was not working. We are all just used to using our electronics regularly. I would suggest that the owner put in intructions for the TV. Again, not bad to be "unplugged" but would have brought more games. We did enjoy the firepit. The house was clean but I did see hair around. I am not a clean freak but I have experience renting my own house and know how it is left after being cleaned. Overall, it served our purposes and we ejoyed our stay.
