My son broke his arm the weekend before our trip. We called, emailed and texted multiple times to try to either get a credit or limit the charges for our room. Then finally the night of, we get a call from someone who was trying to work out when we would arrive. When I tried to explain the situation, she said she was too busy and would "call me back later", which never happened. Epic fail.

Clean, warm room with comfortable beds in a convenient location very close to Gore mountain. The lodge has a pool table and serves delicious soup and dumplings! (Sadly, we are vegetarian and didn't get to taste them, but the group next to us absolutely raved and even requested the dumplings again for breakfast.) Best of all, CB, the host, was incredibly kind, friendly, and went out of her way to be helpful. We lost our car keys - obviously a huge hassle - and she offered both material and emotional support, giving us a ride to the mountain with all our suitcases and gear and lifting our spirits with her positivity and joyful energy. We wish her and the North Creek Lodge much success and happiness.

This place is a mess. Rooms are frigid, management tries to rip you off in all ways (early check in fees, 25 dollars pre cooked dumplings, no refund), no staff except two workers who try their best but they're obviously overwhelmed. The most annoying part is the "owners" attitude who repeatedly told me that if "I was unhappy I could leave" (with no refund obviously...) while arguing that a 50 degrees room temperature was fine and a carbon monoxide alarm going off after they started a space heater was also fine.... Online you can find news about multiple changes of management and unpaid bills. I think this is another chapter of an already bad story

The owners are wonderful. The Happy Chef is the sweetest most genuine woman. The rooms are rustic no frills and clearly they are trying to renovate and improve. I sincerely hope they get the customers to make it.

This place needs a visit by the health department and L/I. We have photos that we wish we could upload of the horrible condition of the place. The front door had a hole where the old lock maybe was? If you removed tape you saw inside/outside. No deadbolt. The door knob was an interior door knob/lock like you would find on a home’s bathroom for the outside door. Hair inside the tub and on the window sill. Tub was “peeling” everywhere. Sink leaking underneath. cracked flooring throughout with pieces coming up. Coarse dirt on floors. Bad internet/can’t make calls. Loose outlets everywhere. No outlet in the bathroom. Bathroom window did not lock. Bathroom door was impossible to open/close because did not fit opening. Did not check the front windows to see if they locked. No trash removal or housekeeping. Beds mismatched. Towels mismatched and some clearly stained/old. NO TOILET PAPER. HAD TO BUY OUR OWN. Had to ask for towels if needed them. Had three items on the dinner menu. Three items total. Burger. Wings. Soup. Full menu online! And kitchen came out to apologize our dinner order was never put in. Kitchen person said this was her “first time doing this.” Don’t have the old menu posted online if you’re not serving it. Don’t have the old check in instructions posted/emailed out if they have changed. Stay away from this place. There is new ownership but they are clearly clueless. I’ve stayed at places all over the world, this was by far the worst.

Rooms windows are cracked/broken. Large dead bug on windowsill. Floors are peeling up. Microwave was missing the plate. Room is just not comparable to any of the photos.

Check in was contactless and easy! Great location! Used the room for a winter snowboard trip and it worked great! Room had the bare minimum, no fridge but it was cold enough outside. Wish there was a floor mat at the entry door for wet shoes - other than that, 10/10 if you just want a room that gets the job done this is it. If you want the extra luxuries/ amenities - maybe look elsewhere. Overall will stay again!

Clean room. Could use some tweaks. There was a mini fridge, but no coffee maker or microwave. Great water pressure! Heat took a while to really warm up the room. (Like, it took til 2am from 4pm). If youre going to gore the location is perfect.

The hotel wasn’t open, when we arrived the place was filled with half opened boxes, the owner informed me that the hotel won’t be opening for two more weeks. The front desk wanted to hand write my credit card info for a deposit, when I refused she charged my card (I already paid $190/night through Expedia). Our room was freezing, the mattresses felt like sleeping on cardboard, the window in the bathroom wouldn't close, the owner brought us a small space heater that did not heat the room. We couldn’t shower or drink the water because it smelled & tasted like something rotten was in it. I specifically booked because breakfast was included & it was close to Gore, breakfast was ONE sunny side up egg & one piece of white bread. The coffee was lukewarm and made with the foul water, basically dirty water. The owner shared that she had to evict the last tenant & was in the process of setting up for the season, while I can empathize, I would’ve never booked there if the hotel wasn’t open. We were completely catfished and now I have to fight the extra charge on my credit card. Super frustrating!

Though we were told about the internet being out and appreciated the discount on the room we were not told that there would be no one there for check-in, that the restaurant was closed and that there would be no breakfast in the morning.

No breakfast, no refrigerator, no cell service no microwave at first. Staff did everything they could : helped with tv, found a microwave for us on our last night. New management should get things in shape by ski season Calll ahead to check . The motel is not in North Creek.

My room was infested with flies and ladybugs (we killed about 10 flies, left for five minutes, and 10 more were there when we came back). When I texted the number listed as the emergency contact on the door of the lobby, I was told there were no available rooms and then the person stopped responding to my messages and didn't return any of my calls when I asked for further assistance. I would recommend staying anywhere but here.

On the upside: The room was clean, heating worked, hot water was working. Cons: Internet wasn't working, restaurant was closed (so no breakfast or anything else). Area around didn't have anything working. So as a quick place to stay it is ok, but as a long term stay - wouldn't recommend.
